Perfect New Mexican Huevos Rancheros! And such a cute restaurant with friendly service!
Food quality was excellent! Margaritas were excellent! Our waitress was excellent! The Hostess and Host need improvement.
Good food and fantastic margaritas! Request courtyard seating. Duo provides dinner music. Setting is beautiful.
One of our favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. Authentic NM food, good service, beautiful building and eating areas, yum coffees & desserts!
First off, let me say, I know they’re very understaffed in the front of house. The host let us know there was only three servers working so we knew we were in for a bit of a wait. No big deal. Our server, Krystal, was extremely friendly and she did a great job. That being said, the food was pretty average. I got the enchiladas and the meat was over cooked and dry. The beans were watery and the rice did not have much seasoning. Everything tasted bland. Which is crazy because this place had nothing but great reviews from the vast majority of people. I don’t know if it was just an off night or what. Even the sopapillas were pretty bland. Overall I would definitely not return but only because of the food issue. The service was excellent.
This place was fantastic. The service was top notch, the food was flavorful and plentiful, and the ambiance was wonderful.
The setting is an old historic home, parts of which were built in the 1700's. We were seated inside, but, if we had toured the building before we ate, we would have asked for patio seating! The shredded beef tacos were excellent. The squash side dish is tasty and mildly flavored. The spinach side dish was quite spicy. Sopapillas came with the meal and were fresh and wonderful.
The location is good, and it was lively to sit outside even though we had to wait for a table: inside was very crammed, load and a bit chaotic, outside us more of the relaxed NM vibe we were in the mood for. The service as we entered was quite poor, the guy was much more interested in his phone than receiving customers, but the servers were luckily better. The Prickly Cactus Margaritas were very good, and the food okay, even if not amazing. Portions were big and as I said, outside sitting was nice, but overall just an okay experience and nothing really stood out to make it excellent.
Let’s start this review by saying this restaurant has a beautiful outdoor scenery of plants ! Outside appearance makes you think it is a smaller building, BUT once inside, it goes far back with a very appealing authentic appearance! Lots of good choices on the menu and the food is beyond amazing! I had the combination plate and it is SO worth it!!! Highly recommend while in Old Town!
Looking forward to a prickly pear margarita! Never had one before. But would have it again. Nice pink color and tang to it. The small entrance is deceiving its long and cute
