I stayed at this hotel as it was where a convention I attended was held. The room was first rate and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities were second to none for any convention I had attended with places to visit (Old Town and Museum of Albuquerque) and some restaurants nearby.
The most beautiful amazing hotel i have ever stayed at , wonderful room service, maintenance helped out so much and i would forever stay here if they keep up with the excellent work!! Thank you all!!!
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the last 20 years. It was always nice, but since the remodeling it is really superb. The rooms are gorgeous, the staff is helpful, the restaurant food is delicious. I highly recommend Hotel Albuquerque.
Had business in Albuquerque this morning, so I came into town with my wife last night and stayed at the Hotel Albuquerque Old Town. Could not have picked a better place to spend the night. From checking in with Shae at the front desk, to dinner at Gardunos, the folks here know how to make someone feel welcome. Our server at dinner, I think her name was Alysha, was working solo because somebody had called off, and even though she had 8 tables while we were eating, service never missed a beat! She was cool, calm and confident, and every Corona I had was cold and delicious, as was the food. Room was recently redone, bed was so comfortable, and I really loved the oversized bed pillows. Good sized bathroom, and plenty of hot water in my shower. Will definitely be returning, may not even wait for business to bring me back, the wife says we should come back for a weekend staycation, and I could not agree more! Just a fabulous hotel.
Great Hotel and customer service, particularly from Shae and Alex at the front desk. Cleaning staff was alos great. As a bonus, the little store was very well stocked with toiletries and most things tourists might need from nnadvertently having left behind. Great souvenirs for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended place to stay!!!!
No bell hop Unable to book a taxi Twin bed room, no assistance with cases. No room service No breakfast Bar shuts at 10pm no drinks for residents Empty mini bar Disinterested staff Utterly abysmal…. This hotel is a shambles, the only comment that brings promises is we are only here for one night.
Phoned for a rate as I was driving into town when I got to reception told a higher amount as I was staying a night didn’t want to argue. Hotel is being remodelled so a lot of works going on . Hotel itself has immense potential but when I arrived I did not notice one guest , given its a huge building that was a surprise. Garden was pleasant . Nothing to do in the area absolutely nothing . Don’t get talked into visiting Albuquerque DONT .
False Advertising! This hotel's website shows a romance special with a 2 pm late checkout. But the hotel does not offer a late check out! None of the codes for the specials work when you book online, so I called their reservations department (and I was talking to a hotel employee, not a booking company) and was told all I had to do was request that special when checking in. They put a request for the 2 pm checkout on our reservation. I called the hotel a week before arrival to confirm that they could see our request for the 2 pm check out and that it wouldn’t be a problem. That was another chance for them to tell me that they don’t offer late checkout, but they didn’t. We didn’t find out until day of arrival, which is too late to find other accommodations on a Friday night. The 2 pm check out was the only reason we booked this hotel, as our flight wasn't until 7 pm. We planned our day around it and had to change our schedule. The Manager was very nice and apologetic and said he has requested several times that the 2 pm checkout special be removed from the website, so that guests don’t falsely believe that the hotel offers late checkout. Shame on the owners for continuing to advertise a 2 pm check out special when they don’t offer late check out. FYI, the mini fridge is extra tiny - it’s not deep enough for a to-go container so don’t plan on keeping leftovers.
This should have been a five-star rating. The potential is there. We stayed at this hotel from 4/13-4/19. We booked through Member Travel Privileges (USAA Perks). My parameters were for a nice hotel within walking distance to Old Town with free parking and, of course, wi-fi. The listing at Member Travel Privileges stated that free parking was available as well as "complementary" wi-fi. We checked out before 5AM because we had an early flight. At that time, we were told that we were being charged a $20 (plus $1.58 tax) per night "Amenity Fee". We didn't have the time to discuss this. I have looked up what constituted the amenities for which we were charged. They apparently include parking and wi-fi, bottled water (two bottles per day), as well as the pool (we didn't use it) and the fitness center (which is actually at another facility). This facility is undergoing major renovations and only three floors (of eleven) are currently being used. The hot water is a problem. Some rooms don't have any. (We met a couple who had to change rooms because they had no hot water.) We had hot water in the shower but we had to run the water in the basin for at least 10 minutes to get it to run hot. In a land of little rain, this is extravagant. We had a balcony room on the eleventh floor overlooking the courtyard. The view was spectacular! The balconies are situated so that they are not in the direct sun. It wolud have been nice to have some seating available outside. The rooms have great potential that is not maximized. There are too few drawers, too little counter space in the bathroom, and no seating to enjoy a meal in the room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I love Old Town and it was a short walk away. Freeway access was easy. The staff was very nice. I am irritated about the “Amenity Fee”, particularly because it included features that I had been led to believe were included with our room. (I did want to contact them via e-mail but I could not find an e-mail address.) This facility left me feeling it wasn’t quite ready for prime time. I would like to stay there again when they are fully operational (and up front about charges).
This is a long overdue review. We went during labor day weekend of 2020, which made this our first major trip after/during Covid. We had to stop by here for about 2-3nights on our way to a family member's house further east. The other choice that I had was a Marriott or similar in downtown, and the review of the safety factor of this hotel far outweighed the better hotel offering in downtown. Our house in LA was a 90-something old Spanish house, so this hotel spoke well with us. It's clean, we had a nice-ish view, and the common areas downstairs are beautiful and grand. The only drawback I found was that the interiors needed love during our stay, and the walls were paper thin-ish. I woke up one night hearing the next door neighbor stumbling drunk to get in to their room for the night. I'm glad to see that those rooms have since been renovated. The biggest plus side of this hotel is the location is right across from the Sawmill district, which means we don't have to get in the car to get good food and drinks. Now that the rooms are upgraded, we would definitely stay in this hotel again.
