The food was really dry, then beef fried rice I ordered left a weird taste and rotting after taste in my mouth. Too expensive for the food they didn't really care to safely and authentically prepare. I got food poisoning about an hour later.I do not recommend this restaurant.
Went one night had an amazing experience and great time n food. Went then 2 nights later and the same staff same time.of night. Same No one inside eating . Ordered the same thing got something totally different even though it was the same thing ordered. Hmmm? I'm loved it the first night. I said maybe give it another try. I loved the spring rolls the first night so maybe get some of those. And so the 3rd time going ... it still was spring rolls ordered the same way and not the same anything came of it ... ? stay consistent please. And the second night was terrible the staff treated us as if they were unhappy about the day... first time great 2nd time no 3rd time no...
We live west of the Rio Grande but do not hesitate to make the trip across Albuquerque to have lunch or dinner at Cafe Da Lat. The choices are always excellent, the hospitality always special, and the interior setting is exceptional--colors, art, and lighting. It is the only place we go for Vietnamese food, always tasty.
My husband and I absolutely loved their amazing Vietnamese cuisine. Very friendly service too. We will be back soon!
The very best in Vietnamese Cuisine! I have been here a number of times and it has been consistently one the very best Vietnamese restaurants I have ever dined in. Very clean, great service and wonderful presentation of the food. Knowledgeable staff and great selections to choose from, so step out of your comfort zone and definitely experience some of the chef specialties! They are all excellent.
Nice quiet atmosphere, great for a date night. Wide selection and so far everything has been delicious :) will be coming back often!
This food is incredible, with very rich, satisfying, authentic Viet dishes. The portions are large for the money, and the staff is knowledgeable. I decided to try something new for a change, and was leaning toward a charbroiled chicken and rice dish. Our amazing waiter suggested something similar, but in a wine sauce. It sounded great, and I was not disappointed! It was delicious. My wife had lemongrass prawns, which also had a rich, delicious sauce and perfectly-cooked, succulent shrimp. The cha gio (which is how I actually measure the quality of a new Viet restaurant, lol) were crispy and delicious, and served perfectly with lettuce, cilantro and sauce. I can't wait to go back.
I came here on a Monday night while visiting Albuquerque, and the usual Vietnamese restaurants I frequent were all closed, so I tried Cafe Da Lat based on the reviews. Very clean, not crowded, nice decor and very attentive wait staff. They have an extensive menu (but no 33 beer or salted lemonade) so I tried something different from what I normally order, the lemongrass chicken with rice. I thought there was a bit too much sauce, with a bit of a gravy texture instead of the clean flavors I expect from Vietnamese cuisine. The chicken was a little tough and chewy, with almost a hot dog taste and texture. I walked away a bit disappointed based on my expectations from the reviews, but am chalking that up to the dish I ordered as much as the quality of the kitchen. I'll probably give Cafe Da Lat another try one of these days, but for the time being I wasn't impressed
Alright, this place blows the other Vietnamese restaurants in town out the freakin’ water, The dining experience here at night it’s just absolutely so exquisite feeling, things are a bit on the pricier side, but not too noticeably so, The Vietnamese beef stew I got was very flavorful, you can tell they didn’t hold back for western audiences. They have a lot of interesting stuff that beats plain old Pho. Wonderful place for a date. Get a good drink to go with your entree, these big bowls of Vietnamese soup take a long while to eat, I recommend some hot tea.
I have a million amazing things to say about this restaurant. Every item on the menu is phenomenal.
