I had three shredded beef tacos that were very good, it came with rice and beans. My partner had a breakfast burrito and cinnamon roll. They give you lots of food and the service was fast and friendly.
Located in the Barrels barrio, that was the home of the roundhouse and old Santa Fe Railroad yards from the 1880's, The Barelas Coffee House combines great food with friendly service, and an atmosphere that is relished by Burquenos, the political class, business folks, and everyone who wants great food at good prices. Their Huevos are great, but a bowl of Green Chile with Beans is a great lunch, too...and slimming!
My favorite New Mexican Restaurant!My go Toni's the Huevos Deluxe, or the Combination Plate. And I ALWAYS get chicharrones for the table.Food is consistently deliciously. Coffee has an extra kick to it, and the tea is fresh brewed.Customer Service is like no other place. The staff here,from the bus boy to the GM are WONDERFUL!I will continue to eat here regularly, forever!

The service and food was awesome. Back in 2013 I ate here and ended up getting a moldy tortilla. I decided to give them another chance and was very very impressed. My server was wonderful and the food was excellent. Keep up the Good Work❤
Out of towner, passing thru Albuquerque. A friend recommended and I'm very glad I went. Food was delish! Service was good. Only odd thing was the wait in line to pay...the place was packed which I suspect is normal.
It was very busy today (December 31st) but we were happy to be here to enjoy great coffee and great food. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and requests. The temperature of the food could have been alittle hotter but we understood. Still great flavor. We will be back for sure.
My mom and I saw Barelas coffee house aired on our local news station, so we decided to try it out. I'm SO thrilled that we did. It's the best New Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque. And if I had to guess it's probably the best in the whole state of NM. The green chili is so outstanding!!! I've only eaten at one other restaurant that has green chili like their's, which you'll find it at El Rancho in Gallup NM.It's busy, for good reason, but don't leave. I assure you it's every bit worth the wait. We now dine there every Tuesday. If I had my way I'd eat there twice a week. No joke!! Delicious in all the ways!?
