This place has a nice atmosphere. It’s way too hot inside, but that’s fault with the building design and not the staff. Staff were nice and helpful while ordering. We didn’t feel rushed which was nice. The food was very good. We got the thali and the stir fry. The stir fry was a little more oily than we would have liked, but it wasn’t overwhelming, and still tasted great with a good portion size and amount of veg in it. Overall a great place to eat and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a healthier alternative to even other plant-based options without cooking for themselves. Great place to go during travels.
My family and I ate at Annapurna's Cafe, and the experience left us wishing we lived closer. Our food was beautifully presented, delicious and flavorful. The chai was wonderful with a choice of non-dairy or dairy milk-- we tried both. The ambiance was warm and inviting with plants throughout, scarfs hung from the ceilings, art, and colorfully painted walls. Though we were full we had to at least try a cookie on our way out, but honestly, I wished I had ordered something more for later. I look forward to eating here again.
We went here from lunch and were thrilled that they had so many gluten free vegan options. My daughter had a grilled cheese (gf/df) with carrot ginger soup. I had the thaali plate with so many fresh veggies, rice and gluten free dosa bread. We shared a chocolate and carrot cupcake that was made with Agave. We even went back later to get the green chili mac and cheese to-go. It was great to find a place that was so healthy and accommodating to our dietary needs. The staff was very kind and helpful.
Wonderful soul-warming vegetarian food in a stress-free atmosphere. The Indian, Thai and other choices were all excellent
The worst dosa I've ever eaten!!1. The dosa was thicker than a pancake2. The masala was rolled up in it like a burrito3. When I unrolled the "burrito" I found half the masala inside to be burnt.4. The sambar was gluggy and absolutely tasteless5. The "Coconut chutney"...did it even have coconut in it? It literally tasted like water
Get the Bombay Frankie with Dosa and let your mind explode. This place is definitely unique, generally healthy menu. I’ll be making multiple trips to test out their menu. Pictured Below is their Mediterranean Plate.
Absolutely Delicious Food! The sitting area was clean and the food tasted amazing
I would give ZERO if I could. The food was utterly flavorless. Although, I was very excited when I browsed through their website and ordered food, all that was gone the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Cos, the restaurant itself looked like they were trying to make a caricature of Indian culture. The portions were good, and, that's probably the only positive. The concept of "fusion" is always challenging and I did have that in mind when I ordered food. But, the bland food drove me nuts!! Thank goodness, I don't live here and was only visiting. I feel bad for people that go in here to get "Indian food" cos, this ain't that!!
I normally go here and food is healthy. This visit, something was wrong with the food (one bite and I knew something was wrong). I took the plate back untouched except for that one bite and even though I was very nice & understanding about it, the manager refused to refund me. She said she couldn’t refund me unless something was wrong. I guess inedible due to possibly putting wrong ingredient in the dish wasn’t wrong??? I also had lost the long time I waited for my food so had no more time to wait for them to re-cook. I made no fuss with the manager. I left and just like that, they lost my business forever. An easy test of customer service- failed.
I've eaten here a few times and it's definitely Annapurna food... which means wholesome, fresh quality ingredients, and the kind of quality start and preparation that has you feeling better after you eat it. However, I've eaten more times at the Annapurna in Santa Fe, and this one is never quite as good as its northern neighbor. I was surprised to learn that this is the original location and the Santa Fe location came later. I fully expected the other way around as it's usually the spinoff that is the lesser location.
