I ordered a cake for my daughters 8th birthday, everything went well, picked up the cake. It looked exactly how I wanted it but then when it was time to cut the cake and serve it my guests took one bite and couldn’t eat it. It tasted spicy or as though they spilled the whole bottle of flavoring in the cake batter. It was horrible so I went outside and called the cake shop and was told there was nothing they could do at the moment and someone would be contacting me in a few days. Someone did call and told me that they would issue half a refund, and I was fine with that but after 14 days no refund ever went back into my bank account then I called them back and I was told my refund was issued. Here we are over a month later and still no refund. After I called and complained they were very rude. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Bad customer service and horrible tasting cakes.
A lovely bakery with great staff and great service. The anniversary cake they gave us a year after our wedding cake purchase was sweet and it meant a lot too us. I will be using ABC for every celebration. Thank you so much. The danishes and cupcakes are also amazeballs.
Mich is very helpful. He did my dads John Wayne cake and he was awesome and the cake turned out great!! Mich is awesome!! And his work is awesome!! Didn’t go to the cake shop for along time, finally went back and Mich helped me and I have been back ever since!! Won’t go anywhere else!
I called to place an order for my granddaughters birthday cake. The girl that answered said she would have someone call me back. I never received a call back. The people that own ABC need to read the reviews on Next Door I am not the only one to experience bad service.
We ordered a butterfly cake and some "Spring" sugar cookies for our moms birthday celebration. The cake and cookies were absolutely beautiful and yummy. The staff that assisted us in ordering were polite and professional. Very happy with this bakery and will definitely remain a customer. Thanks for a great experience.
I’ve purchased a cake from their case for my son’s birthday and it was good. Then I ordered one for my daughters Harry Potter themed party. They knocked it out of the park! She loved it! Thank you for such an amazing cake!
After spending about an hour going over what we wanted for our grandson’s bday cake(the Star Wars set with added Mario Kart figures) the cake they gave us had no Star Wars at all and was covered in black icing we didn’t want. They insisted we didn’t order Star Wars because they didn’t sell it, in spite of the fact this the SW set is prominently displayed in the store. Our order form showed Star Wars but it was crossed out and they accused us of doing that. It was clearly changed after we ordered and we weren’t notified! They didn’t apologize and offered no discount for a cake we didn’t want , but had to take because our grandson’s party was in a little while. We won’t be buying anything there again! Beware!
Let's start with the good. The pastries are amazing. The flavor options, the designs... Magnificent. Their cake selection, flavor and options can't be beat. Custom order with a blurry picture from Chrome, not a problem. We ordered a custom cake for our son and the price was extremely reasonable.The bad...The customer service we received was not good. Now I want to believe that it was the time of day, the day before spring forward, almost St. Patrick's Day, anything other than "It's normally like that".We were told we had to go around the corner of the counter to place an order. That's fine. We then stood there for 20 minutes, completely ignored by the people we saw helping others. There was no "We'll be right with you" "We're really busy I'm sorry" nothing. I asked 3 different people for help and the last person snapped "I'm busy helping them" when my question was "Are you the only person working?"The person who ultimately helped us had ignored us several times, and chose to help customers in an area of the bakery that had others working there.Once we did finally get help, it was great and our orders were taken without incident.
We were sure from the minute we got engaged that we would be getting our cake from ABC. We saw them at the wedding expo and they told us if we signed up that day that we could do a free tasting. When we called to select the flavors they told us they would not honor the free tasting without a voucher, which we were never given. Needless to say, we will be going somewhere that honors what they tell their customers.
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!" My family has been a customer for years, since probably it has opened. Despite Covid, the communication and dependability has gone down hill. Second time for me. This time, I wanted the traditional Shamrock cookies, which are beautiful and delicious. I went in last week, because I needed them by Monday, 14 Mar. I was told I could not order them last week, because I would be charged "out of season" fees. They told me to come back 48 hours prior. I came today, and told would not be ready until the middle of the week, due to new restrictions and being short staffed. I know this has been an issue, due to Covid, I just ask when people communicate a time, maybe they need to extend the expected timeframe. Also, did not see how I was to be charged."out of season," when I was going to pick up during St. Patrick's week, and theybwere not going to work on them until then, and especially if they need more notice now to bake. Just frustrated. I gave them 3 stars. There items are delicious and beautiful, but communication is not fluid.
