The atmosphere and the food here is amazing. The pasta is all made fresh in house, there is a bakery with Italian confections as well. The waite staff were friendly. However, when it came to settle our bill for the evening with the cashier, I received a healthy eye roll for using a gift certificate I won at a raffle. It it weren't for the raffle I would have never heard about this establishment. Disappointing end to an otherwise perfect meal.
Did not even get my meal yet and already rate this place above all others! Staff are amazing and the appetizers were the best! An experience you can not miss out on while visiting! The owner personally helped us with a scheduling mistake! And the good was served and all ate to bursting! If a good critic ever came in here they would have to have dead taste buds to not see how well prepared this food is! The only thing that could ruin the experience is customers that are rude and harass staff/owner. NO ONE MAKES MOMMA CRY!!!
Frequently went to this restaurant in the 90s and 2000s. Has changed not for the better. Lousy plain small club roll. Ordered bruschetta, their topping had capers! Gross capers don't belong in bruschetta. Meatballs were store bought and disgusting. 1 out 10, this place was a 2. I know good food and this place does not have it!
We were so looking forward to a delicious meal. But sad to say none of our dinners were appetizing! The pasta was very over cooked, the meatballs were hard The veal saltimbocca looked and tasted like over salted soup, the sauces were bland and tasteless. The sangria was sour. But the rolls were good! And our server was excellent!
I've been going to the Wildwoods my entire life. This was the first time I"ve eaten at the Ravioli House. It was not crowded at all, but it was still off-season. I was really looking forward to going here, as everything looks so good on their Instagram. Our waitress was lovely. Our food arrived quickly. I had the lobster ravioli. It was just ok. The sauce just didnt have a lot of flavor. My family members also had pasta, and they also were not impressed. When you go to a restaurant, and your own home-cooking is better, then it's not worth it. Everyone was lovely. I just wish the food was tastier. Now, on the good side, their pastries are excellent. The bakery is in the back, and we brought a selection home to sample. THOSE were yummy! So we will be back for pastries, but not for dinner.
The made in-house pasta was delicious. To be honest, I found the restaurant interior to be somewhat dated and drab, but the food was far better than the look, and that's what really matters. It's a tad on the pricey side, but if you're in the mood for pasta, I would recommend.
We expected a lot from the hype (“Feeding Wildwood since 1970”), but we had no idea how they’ve stayed open so long.I had the house ravioli trio, which was very underwhelming. The meatballs were bland, and the sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can. The food alone was enough to make us both say we wouldn’t go back even if it was *half* the price, and we felt absolutely robbed when we got the bill. Definitely skip.
Definitely not considered a great pasta dinner. Cheese quality is not of a fine Italian restaurant. Angel hair is of the thickest I've ever laid my eyes on. Marsala dinner so so. Very pricey since the quality isnt there. Good salad and they are surely clean. Buy talluttos product and cook at home.
Day two on our Jersey shore vacation. Friends that were regular vacationers here recommended The Ravioli House. Right away I saw authentic Italian dishes that my grandma used to make. The Sicilian calamari was a wonderful start to an awesome meal. I could have had a meal of just this appetizer, it was spicy and very flavorful. I had tortellini in a puttenesca sauce. Boy was it tasty as well. We had the veal saltimboca which was fabulous. Vodka sauce and Bolognese were very good as well. Generous portions were had by all. The homemade pasta was a nice touch. Reasonable prices. Huge deserts! Cannoli cake and raspberry cake were shared and enjoyed by all. Another must visit.
With (Hopefully!) the worst weather of the season we had a fantastic meal. My brother is a chef and Italian so I’m always nervous dining out with him, haha, and he was impressed! Great dinner, great service. Nice portions, we all had leftovers. Looking forward to going again!
