Cons: I ordered the seafood broil for $38. It came with a starter salad and a tiny little roll, in which case there was no butter. Never saw a server until we got our main dish, so made do. Now comes the seafood broil. Description is scallops, shrimp, crab cake, stuffed, clam, and flounder. It came with one small overcooked stuffed clam, one tiny crab cake, three shrimp, three scallops, and a piece of severely dried out tasteless fish. Again, waited for a server to come anywhere near our vicinity for some salt and that can only help so much when the fish is so dried out. Now the positives. Scallops were pretty good and the view is spectacular since we were right on the water. Unfortunately, that's all I can say. Needless to say, we won't return.
Had a lovely bayside sunset view and delicious dinner. My husband had oysters and the blackened yellow tuna special. I had the she crab soup and a crab poke bowl. Our server Liv T did a great job explaining menu items and was an efficient, friendly, polite and attentive server. Everyone here works so hard, thanks for all you do! We will be back.
The kitchen is dirty. My whole family got food poisoning. Had to go to the hospital. Stay far away. The managers are unwilling to keep the food at the right temperatures.
Tiki bar is great to have a cocktail before dinner. Food is well prepared. However, if you have any issues with service…Good Luck!!! The manager seems to have dealt with so many “Karen’s” that she’s turned into one. Except this Karen starts with a “C”
What a find. On the water, lots of outdoor seating, great menu. The steamed local scallops were amazing. Great slaw. Unforgettable Key Lime pie. Friendly service. The meal that defined the trip.
Husband got the shrimp boil and was not is any sauce or broth. Completely blan and plain. Absolutely horrible! Was only a few shrimp, not even a half pound, we also ordered a half pound of old bay steamed shrimp, came with no old bay at all! One kid got a cheese quesadilla and entire thing didn’t have cheese same with a crab quesadilla. Overall food was completely horrible! Got a watermelon mojito and it talked like triple sec and mint! Horrible! Not worth $130 plus tip. Service was good! Left a $20 tip. So definitely not worth $150 total. Find anywhere else!!! H and H up the road is awesome! Fresh seafood and small family owned! Go there!
Our family typically visits the Crab House when they vacation in Cape May but it was the first time my husband and I joined them. The line was long to give our name for a table but then we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated inside at a picnic table (there were 7 of us). Unfortunately, our visit coincided with the increase in crab. The 2 kids who like crab are used to getting the legs which are meaty and easy to eat. Instead 2 of the adults ordered the crab pot which included some legs and shared those with the kids. My husband got the all you can eat blue claw crabs (#2) and got at least 2 dozen served to him - although they were small he said the bodies still had a lot of meat and were nicely seasoned. He thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the stuffed shrimp which was very tasty. The star of the dinner were the dozen oysters on a half shell - sweet and delicious. The clams on the half shell were good but couldn't compete with the oysters. Our waitress Isabella (Izzy) was awesome. She was super friendly, helpful and repeatedly made stops at our table to check on us. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to visit it again next year when our family vacations in Cape May!
You may have to wait for a table during peak times but it’s worth it. Delicious seafood and nice views. Wait staff is very friendly and work hard. No masks though! Raw clams yum. Drinks are a bit skimpy.
Great place for a seafood dinner and views of the back bays. Casual dinning, tons of seating, several bars AND live entertainment.
Great experience tonight. Sat us in 45 minutes which seemed impossible with the amount of people waiting. Bartender at bar while we waited was great and last but not least Hanna Rose was tremendous. Food was on point.
