I was waited for long to visit this place expected it to be good. Was wrong. Appetizer bread and butter buns came room temperature when should be heated. Mussels over dry out. Lobster was room temperature with small amount of meat but it might be okay. Steak came out rushed supposed to be well done it was red inside and burned outside edges. Not enjoyable. For the amount paid here it wasn't woth it. Nobody even cared to ask us if everything was good and how we like it. It tells a lot about management quality..
We were wandering around the Wildwood Boardwalk yesterday, it was my first time there and as an AC local it's nice to get out and see other boardwalks once in a while. We were definitely craving seafood and local seafood more than anything. We happened to stop into Schellenger's. We had never been there before.As soon as I walked in I knew it was the perfect place. Extremely kitschy and full of mariner themed tchotchke! It smelled fantastic and was decorated nautically all throughout. Definitely a family friendly place as there were large families with kids there. My husband and I agreed it was a perfect family seafood restaurant.The staff was friendly and welcoming and our server Wendy was wonderful from start to finish. The food tasted as great as it smelled and presented. The Fried Flounder did not disappoint and the portions are huge. Thank you, Wendy for the extra bread and butter she wrapped up to go!Would definitely go back next time we are in Wildwood!
First time at this great place! Decor is full Jersey Shore kitsch, drinks were tasty, food was fantastic! Husband had a steak perfectly cooked, I had lobster tail, daughter had seafood treasure, all delicious. Waitress was a sweetheart. Highly recommend!
Service is great, food is ok, prices are astronomical. First time I’ve ever gone to a restaurant and only ordered soup because all the entrées are so expensive. Unlikely to return.
Fabulous experience for dinner! Our waiter was wonderful and accommodating. Some of the best seafood I have had in a very long time. The placemats are beautiful and they gave me a fresh one to take home as a souvenir.
The food was really good, and the service was top notch. We had a wonderful visit, and dinner.
My husband and I visited Schellenger's for the first time today. The service was fantastic, Beata was a terrific server, the drinks were tasty and the seafood is delicious! Our entrées came out with perfect timing as well. Would Highly recommend to anyone visiting Wildwood or just looking for some great seafood.
The seafood was fresh and cooked well! The grilled octopus was delicious and the swordfish was amazing I’ll definitely be back!
Locals, first time dining here we went for restaurant week, very enjoyable meal, wife got the Lobster Love entree, I got the Land and Sea, both came with fried shrimp, our appetizer was Dynamite shrimp, which was fried shrimp with a spicy sauce, very good, we both had cheesecake for dessert. I actually ate here as a child in the early 70’s when it was “El Rancho” Steakhouse! Service was great as well, place was squeaky clean as well. Will be returning for sure!!
Husband and I were in town for TROG. I had the coconut shrimp with the Blueberry sauce. Oh my... that blueberry sauce was fantastic!!! Loved it!
