The absolute worst steak sandwich I ever had. Kelly's review,, she must be a relative. The owner said he never had a bad review. Read on, terrible food and prices.
A burger, A cheesesteak about 6". Mozzarella sticks an order of fries. $60!!The service was horrendous. The cleanliness was sub par at best. The food was worthless (old tasting, buns as rubbery as they come) and a rip off. As all of the 1.9 million people of my viewers know this is rare that I make a bad review. But when I do it honestly. It is not with the intention of malice.Sorry Folks, but this is a place that should bang up.
We had spent so much money on mediocre food at mediocre restaurants for our family of six. Then I found this spot. The food was excellent! The prices weren't outrageous as they were at the other places we had dined. I had a chance to speak to the owner briefly, she was very friendly, very polite, just as the staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish we had found Route 66 when we first arrived, I would have much rather spent my money there than at the other restaurants we went to. I can't wait to go back to try more things on their menu!
Saw this place will on vacation on the boardwalk and thought it looked good! Boy was we wrong! First the lady that sat us was extremely rude! Every costumer that had to deal with her was very displeased! She was yelling at a couple while they was leaving for not leaving a big enough tip!? Surprised she even got one from them. The only reason there is 2 stars in for the waiter we had! He was very nice! The food was below average! Will not be back! We handed our waiter his tip so the mean lady didn't steal it! Yeah we saw her do it to him!
Excellent food. Staff is amazing. Can't ask for a better place to eat in wildwood.

We normally love to hit Route 66 as a family for lunch/early dinner. So as usual we spent the morning at gateway and went to sit down at route 66 for lunch last week. We gave the hostess/waitress our info and she was immediately annoyed. She continued to huff and puff about having to get us a seat. There were literally 2 tables occupied at the time. While we were waiting to be seated one of the tables got up and came to counter to pay. The hostess/waitress proceeded to complain to the customer paying how she was just about to go on break before we came in so now she wasn't going to be able to take a break or eat anything until she got done at midnight at which time she would be too tired to eat and then had to be back in first thing in the morning. She made us feel like a total inconvenience, how dare we come to a restaurant to eat. We decided it was better to just leave. We loaded our baby and kids back up in the stroller to leave and you could hear her bad mouthing us to the other workers about how we could not wait a few mins to be seated. It wasn't about the wait. It was 100% about her attitude.

Beware! My son got the burger and got food poisoning. Fries not included and drinks wereorder by the size, served in a to go cup filled with ice to the brim with no free refill. Food was overpriced. It was Decorated nicely and our server was nice.
