Thought I would try an upscale dish (since they were offering it) to see how a Boardwalk Restauranteur would perform. I ordered the Shrimp Pasta with Marinara. Needless to say, I was "Stunned"! This is a favorite dish of mine and I usually reserve ordering it to finer esoteric Bistros and Trattorias I frequent. Yes, I dare say it, BOLDLY that the Chef Olympic Flame not only went "toe to toe" with the finer eateries I am familiar with but actually bettered the lot of 'em!! After this most satisfying experience, I was desperate to meet the Chef behind this most Perfect Pasta dish. The waitstaff directed me to the Chef, who was extremely appreciative when I explained the aforementioned to him. Anyone out there visiting the Jersey Shore and wants to have a truly "Unique" dining experience, I strongly recommend ordering the Shrimp Pasta (or any Pasta Course) "The" Olympic Flame Restaurant. You Will Not Be Disappointed!!
Sat down for 20 minutes. Not one waitress came over to ask if we needed help or anything. When we left we say something to a group of waitresses socializing by the front and none of them said anything back. Will never go here again
Good breakfast. Just make sure you ask for tap water if you don't want to pay for bottled.
Best food on the Boardwalk, best Pizza slice and definitely one the cleanest places to eat. Family owned by an amazing familly for decades ... your go to place for a grear breakfast lunch or dinner.
Food is phenomenal, however the man in the kitchen is a complete jerk. The kitchen is open, so guests can hear everything. He spent the entire time berating his waitress, and randomly removing things from the menu by shouting it across the area. The actual waitresses were phenomenal and very sweet, but the guy, presumably the boss is a complete a-hole.
Was in line to place my order. Then immediately after they took my order, the guy gets all mad and says we are now closed, except for Pizza. Then he close the area where you can sit and eat inside. He puts on the sign, quote “Closed. Don’t Like It, Too Bad’ unquote They don’t care about the business anymore. I don’t recommend this place
Olympic Flame is one of my favorite restaurants in the Wildwood area, and is my number one favorite on the boardwalk. Their food is amazing; I've tried their pancakes, pizza, cheesesteak, and caesar salad (the lettuce is a nice dark green, not the white or barely green iceberg lettuce you might expect from the boardwalk); you truly can't go wrong. In my opinion, Olympic has the best pizza on the boardwalk, and their pancakes are very high on my list of the best in the area. Additionally, the staff there are wonderful. It's such a homey atmosphere, and if you're looking for a place with great vibes to hang out with friends or family, this should be your go-to. Finally, while most of the seating is technically indoors, the front of the restaurant is fully open so you can still experience the action on the boardwalk and the breezy weather while you're enjoying your meal. I would highly recommend eating at Olympic Flame for any meal of the day!
Best gyros on the boardwalk! It's always a must go place for dinner!
