Fantastic ice cream spot down in Wildwood. A great place that I make sure to stop by every time I'm staying in the area. It can be kind of busy at times, but I've found it worth the wait. Service is excellent as well!
Duffers is excellent. We had ice cream and breakfast there. I recommend both. Unfortunately, we never got a chance to eat dinner there. Next time we are in Wildwood we will. Portions are great. I also love the old fashion look of the restaurant as well.
The peach ice cream is really good. They give pretty generous portions especially for the double scoops. There was a long line out the door but they have online ordering which is helpful.
Leaving a review for the ice cream only on this visit. We had the peanut butter ice cream with chocolate jimmies in a waffle cone and a dairy free chocolate ice cream made with an almond milk base. The peanut butter was very good I know a lot of people love Duffer's and rank it as great which is why we went out of our way to try it but I'd say it's very good not quite great. The serving is huge.As far as the dairy free chocolate goes it was average at best. It's consistency was more of a heavy water ice or sorbet than ice cream. It wasn't thick at all. The flavor was just okay.The service was very friendly and quick. All of the ice cream is homemade. I wild go back for the regular but not the diary free.They also have a full service restaurant, arcade and mini golf. The arcade has about 25-30 different games and the mini golf was neat with a lot of cool course obstacles and decorations themed for the shore but keep in mind the space is tight so the holes aren't real big.
Came to try the homemade ice cream. It was fine but not overly impressive. It was about the same quality as a good grocery store ice cream. Big portions, but pretty expensive. Also was surprised that despite the big portion you can't get more than one flavor in a normal serving (which would be considered a medium at most places), and you can only get two flavors in the biggest size. Seems like an unnecessary restriction. All in all, not bad but nothing to write home about.
Very disappointed of this restaurant. The food had no quantity for the money and the service was not good at all. it looks like she was rushing us the whole time, and asking to collect our plates within 5-10 mins after being served. The worst part of it all, is a single pancake for my 3yr old girl was 4.50$ and even charged 1$ For not even a half of a slice of a small strawberry !really?? What happen to the great service and diner this was before? Not happy.
I came here because I saw a lot of reviews. It really is a fun happy lively place for kids to eat dinner. They have a million kinds of sundaes and ice. Ream. The staff is very kind and accomodating. The food is just okay. The prices are a bit high. I would have rather gone somewhere else, but it was an upbeat happy atmosphere.
Terrible service by a young man. We waited a long time after sitting down Wednesday morning 18 August. We have been there many times in years past..My wife ordered sourdough toast and the waiter had no idea what sourdough was. So she ordered white toast which came out in a basket mixed in with my rye toast which was OK. Unfortunately he did not give my wife a plate, or jelly for the toast. I suppose she was expected to eat off the table..We never had this problem in the past. We always looked forward to coming to Duffers. My biggest problem in the past was the "DUFFERS" logo came off our personal coffee cups at home after 6 months. I'm not complaining about that..My daughter-in-law owns a motel on Pacific Ave in the Crest and I'm aware how difficult it is to find workers - let alone good servers. It would help if someone could go table to table to insure your usually good service isn't undermined by poorly trained servers. I'd like a follow-up.Rich and Eva LuceWarminster, Bucks County, PA
I have been coming her for many many years! Even with the Labor Pains as the establishment refers to it; it was as fabulous as the first time I ate here . Freshly prepared breakfast items . Fresh roasted Coffee. Lovely server. Very fun atmosphere for families couples old and young. Outside dining. Arcades . Mini Golf. Best Ice cream on the planet! Great Great place with the freshest most delicous food. You can't beat Duffers for Breakfast Lunch or Dinner or my personal favorite ICECREAM with fresh whip cream piled high! A miniature train runs around the entire restaurant for kids and adults to enjoy ?
Great location two short blocks from the beach. Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking available but does fill up quickly, so you then need to park on street. We walked so didn't have an issue. There is an awesome arcade attached for the kids. Cute trains that circles the inside rooms, which definitely keep kids entertained. The service was great and plenty of food choices. We came for breakfast before 9am and we're quickly seated. Of course Ice Cream Shakes were ordered and delicious. You have to get one if you go here. The atmosphere is something to see. Loved the stained glass window/sky light. Will definitely be back anytime we are in Wildwood.
