I want to like this place, but I just wish they’d put a little love into their cooking and ingredients. Macaroni is over boiled and mushy, baked ziti no ricotta. The chicken parm hero is the best thing on the menu (not enough chicken) but I think all minor adjustments in quality could improve this place. Sauce should be a bit sweeter, not so spicy and tangy. I am a tough critic being that I’m Italian but I Hope these tips help and aren’t taken to heart. I truly am writing to support and hope that my words can help create a positive change. The bald guy that is the main cook that’s usually there, most likely the owner/manager is the most unfriendly and unwelcoming person I’ve come across in local restaurants. He is so rude and grumpy all the time, and has a nasty attitude when you’re just trying to enjoy your meal. Food is great but not enough to bring me back after many visits of trying to ignore the terrible customer service.
A family owned place where the food gets close to genuine. It's good pizza and very hospitable. Always a warm and cozy welcome. So many years of rapport it's no longer a customer client thing but a bond..
It's been over 20 years since I had pizza here. The owner sold the business to one of his protégés who is from San Salvador. Pizza is the same. Great service. Felt like old days. We dined in which is usual with the pandemic. This is West New York and of course parking is an issue. This has not changed either.
I have been ordering food from this restaurant for over 3 years. The food is always fresh and tasty. I would recommend them to anyone.
New Pizza On The Block is our absolute go to for neighborhood pizza! The price is right, the pizza is delish, the staff is wonderful and the penne vodka is the best around! We order from here at least twice/month!
It taste like NY pizza from the good old days crispy and delicious my sons eat there and told me about it
Good pizza slices and other items at reasonable prices. Also they got a tv with football on so it’s a plus

A neighborhood pizzeria that you can depend on. Not the most gourmet of cuisines, but you'll get a good price on some good food with a generous portion. Best pizza in the neighborhood, great pasta, great prices, and fast service. Avoid the grilled chicken salad, and don't try to get fancy with the requests.
