I love this place! It’s been my local scoop shop for the past 6 years, they’re open all year round.The atmosphere is great and the prices are fair, the staff are always quick to get you what you need.They have a selection of ice cream cakes as well!Nice place to pass by before a walk on the promenade.
I picked up a large birthday cake yesterday for a member of my family. The birthday cake has the wrong flavor inside. They screwed up the entire cake. We were unable to identify the error until we cut the cake and saw the inside of it after our kid blew out the candles today. This is absolutely ridiculous. The flavor they put in (some kind of caramel color flavor) has absolutely nothing to do with the flavor we ordered (some kind of blue color flavor). This is not even close. It is not a good faith mistake where they mix up one chocolate flavor with another chocolate flavor because they look similar. It is incompetence in its purest, unfiltered form. It is absolutely bonkers. Do not order any kind of cake from this disaster zone.
The cashier had attitude from the moment we walked in, clearly upset that we entered after 9 (why not say you’re closed rather than serve us?).My wife ordered 2 small cups and was given one small cup with 2 flavors. Honestly, no problem! We asked for another cup instead so that we could split it for our guests. She gave it to us and right after said “you’re not allowed to do this,” with a rude tone and an even ruder face. We told her she heard us wrong and gave us the wrong order. Not our fault and she didn’t need to give us the second cup if it wasn’t allowed. She continued to talk down to us as if we were stupid.None of this had to happen. If she wasn’t going to serve us kindly, she could have just said they were closed. If the cup wasn’t allowed, she could have told us to order another or just not given us the cup. Such an annoying memory on a nice night.This occurred on 5/31/22 at 9:15pm.

Finally some icecream for vegans. Loved the flavors we tried. Staff seems lost the interest in working. But good ice cream!
My kids were so excited, but the male staff member clearly looked pass us to help an attractive female costumer directly behind us. Prompting my son to ask what’s wrong? I’m not sure how he missed 3 ppl and went to the other costumer, what is the purpose of waiting in line?. That really annoyed me, he could have be less obvious and actually provide service.I guess the age is a factor as someone else mentioned…I end up throwing my ice cream out it was too sweet, but my kids loved it. So a good experience overall for them.
