Excellent Food an great atmosphere! Always have a great time!
We're were staying in the Vineland area and chose to have dinner at the Greenview Inn based on the good reviews here on TA. Upon closer look I now see that the most recent review was from 2020. Obviously a lot has changed at this place over the past two years - and NOT for the better. We were given our menus and wine list upon being seated. When our server came to take our drink order we told her we wanted to look over the menu first. She left and we noticed other servers describing off-the-menu specials to customers at other tables. When our server came back to take our drink order we had to ask her to tell us what the specials were so we could choose a bottle of wine. OK. Wine ordered. The menu listed a prime rib special that was available only on Friday and Saturday, and there were two cuts available - Queen and King - at "market price." We were there on a Saturday. I asked our server what the sizes of the two cuts were and she replied, "I don't know how much they weigh, but I can tell you they're priced at $50 and $75. And I don't think there are any available, but I'll check." When she returned she said there was one piece left - a well-done end piece. No thanks! So I ordered the NY Strip Steak. Dinner came with salad, but we had to ask another server for the bread, which was described on the menu as "Sour Dough Boule" but was served as three slices of somewhat toasty bread. And although the pepper grinder sat on the counter of the open kitchen, no one ever offered us ground pepper for our salads. Then our entrees were served. I will say that my husband enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Loin he ordered. My NY Strip Steak was a whole other story. First glance - it didn't even look appealing. The "cognac cream" that covered the top of the steak was a broken, watered-down sauce; the steak frites were UNDER the steak, getting soggier by the moment (probably because the plate was so small there was no room to have the frites on the side); and the Arugula Misto was a small portion of limp arugula drowning in some kind of dressing. By the time our server came back to ask how our meals were, my bread plate was piled high with fat and grizzle I had to cut away from my steak in order to find pieces that were edible. And when I told her that the steak was not good, her response was, "I'll make a note of that." No apology. No offer to bring something else. Not even an offer to comp a dessert. Poor service, bad food, and EXPENSIVE - the tab for two of us was over $130.00. Save your money -- dine somewhere else!
Family went for a dinner after our Father's funeral. The food was excellent! Great service!
Beautiful venue with delicious food. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Had my Mom's 90th birthday here Rob Bruno and his staff does an amazing job. We used Eastlyn for a number of occasions and very satisfied with service and food. The outside veranda is especially nice in warmer weather.
Delicious food the waiter could have been a little more attentive.
Such great service at Eastlyn.. everyone was so professional and the food was outstanding! Definitely will use for more future events! Rob, Dena, and Theresa Thanks for everything! Til next time! ??
We had our daughters wedding here. It was absolutely perfect! It's beautiful, they food is delicious and the staff was courteous, and professional. They are very accomdating, listening to all our request. I absolutely recommend Eastlyn for any event, or just for a very nice dinner.
Always a great experience! The Food is always very good and the menu items are unique....and having Dina (Manager) with the staff they're always on point! Get the Shrimp and Grits for an app!!
Beautiful venue. The weather explicitly stated that there were flood warnings throughout the state yet they seemed so unprepared. They tried to stick us outside on barely wiped down lawn chairs. It started pouring about two minutes later so we had to rush in for the ceremony to be held in the ballroom (after all the bridesmaids were outside and in view of everyone. A few guests saw the bride at this point), which was kind of awkward. I think it could have been better managed if it were held outside under the covered deck (to the side rather than back) where all the staff had been running around before the event began.I'm not the bride so I can't speak to that satisfaction but if you're using this venue, definitely have a rain plan set in place because they scrambled. We ended up in the ballroom which was beautiful but the view of the aisle is completely different. Also, make sure you request a second bartender. The event coordinator was scrambling and filling so many roles, including bartender (which I and so many other guests respected), but if I was paying I would expect at least two bartenders. At the end of the night, I also heard that the coordinator had left before the rest of the staff.I WILL say that the kitchen staff went above and beyond for one of our younger guests who wasn't prepared to eat the "adult" food. The chefs had all gone home and they opened the kitchen to make sure she ate. I felt like such a pain bothering the staff but they were all so kind.IMO, everything was perfect besides the "rain date" event. So please plan for that! Loved all the caterers and a family member said that she had her own daughter getting married there the next day. Happy shopping, brides!
