I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! In addition, the customer service was on point. I definitely will return again. Take my word, if you want good, authentic Jamaican food, Sashey's is the place.
mmmmmm don’t know where people got “tasteless,” from. this place is far from tasteless. the food I had was amazing. I was contemplating ordering again cus it was so yummy. whoever makes the food makes it with love. I had the oxtail and my husband had the curry goat and loved it. will definitely order from here again, finally a Jamaican place that does it right. God bless!
This restaurant leaves little to be desired; as a customer I find that the owners have a very unwelcoming and hostile demeanor. The response of the owner to negative reviews on google clearly shows that they lack professionalism, humility and are confrontational. Added to that the cook puts too much salt in the jerk chicken and it’s not flavorful. I will take my business elsewhere there are better Jamaican restaurants such as, Golden Crust and The Pit BBQ on Central Ave in Orange NJ, where the food, employees and service are great.
I’m fairly new to this place only been here twice. Their food is really good I try to stop by when I’m in the area. If you guys ever get a chance and they have beef patty available, I’d say try it.I don’t really like beef patty, just veggie & chicken. But theirs taste so fresh. I still tasted the scotch bonnet pepper fresh.
Absolutely delicious. I stopped by earlier to grab lunch for myself and one of my team members. The food was fresh and tasty and the staff was warm and welcoming. I’m from New York and I’ve lived in the Bronx near White Plains Road which is “Little Kingston” so I know what good Jamaican food tastes like. Shashey’s Kitchen is all that. I highly recommend them and definitely plan to go back.
Mannnnn let me tell yall something BEST JAMAICAN FOOD EXPERIENCING SO FAR ❗️juiciest jerk chicken I've ever had. I'm usually never able to finish a full plate of food in sitting but Today!! It was different. They even gave me a nice warm cup of soup to sip on. Lovely people, food, and experience! I'll come early to get the oxtail next time!!! Even though i had take out, They also have a lovely area to eat in which is all rare to find in any carribean restaurants in the area. My new go to spot!
Seriously, I have to say from someone into culinary this food was inspiring.The curry goat was deliciously tender and marinated with some spice, and some real love too.The rice was great, the mac/cheese satisfied, the Jamaican patties.....oh man. Talk about golden crust, they got nothing on these guys. Day 1 freshness.Throw in some desert and it was all $30? AMAZING. Keep up the good work, please! For an legit culture of the islands experience this spot is sure to be a pleaser for any Jersey samaritan.?

First let me say I have no problems with the owners of this establishment. The owners are very pleasant. On January 13th 2022, they had a young girl working there. She was Rude and have a Nasty Attitude! I was expressing my opinion about a mistake she made, and she told me to 'stop talking '. I guessed she didn't want people to know she is Clueless!Thanks to the owner for fixing her mistake. If it wasn't for her attitude I would have given 5 stars.
