With lighter than the yard so our bound here after a busy Father's Day and had a family meal which fed a family of six. We got the whole chicken and the full rack of ribs along with the baked beans, mac and cheese, cornbread, rolls. The meats were done up to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed the baked beans. I believe they used field peas and pinto beans along with brisket. Smokey and delicious . The mac and cheese for me was not the best but the kids loved it, it was super cheesy with extra gooey noodles,-- not my type of mac and cheese but hey it worked! The cornbread is served cold which could be a plus or minus depending on how you like your cornbread. I would definitely revisit mighty Quinn to try some of the other meats.
I've eaten here twice. I loved the tenderness of the meats. But they had no flavor. And I had bbq sauce on them. Something's not right but I don't know what. I can only guess that there's no seasoning seared into the meat during the cooking process. I tried adding my own sauce. It didn't help the ribs or the chicken, but the pulled pork sandwich tasted like something my second go-round. I hesitate to give them 3 stars because I think that's too low. I do appreciate their menu and service but the flavor just doesn't hit me like it might others. So they're definitely worth a try because of their overall quality, service, and, in my opinion, great prices. You just have to sample-maybe doctor a bit-to find your thing.
First time in the area and came across a shopping center with a few different food options, didn’t have much time but I chose this restaurant and decided to try their wings.Ordered a 6 piece of both flavors ( Spicy & BBQ ) and these wings were absolutely amazing. When I have more time I’ll come back to dig into their bbq but I was super impressed with the wings and flavors. Overall decor is nice and you can sit inside or outside.
I ordered from here through doordash not only were the portions small my food was spilled leaking through the bag also my chicken was raw the food was inedible and got trashed immediately. I will not service this restaurant or doordash any longer because they refused to refund my money.
This a great local place for bbq. The meat itself had that lovely hint of smoked flavor. Inside the restaurant is a nice, casual environment. I was surprised that they served beer on tap, since it is within an outdoor shopping plaza (not a stand alone building.) They do have local Jersey beer to try, complete with a happy hour discount. The prices are reasonable too, with options for just meat platters or family style orders (by the pound or quart, etc). Employees are friendly too.
This was my first time visiting... I am / was blown away! In line watching the carving station, seeing the perfectly cooked brisket falling off of the knife... MOUTH WATERING! The food is phenomenal! The sides are fantastic! The Mighty Quinn Pilsner is the perfect compliment to the BBQ! You cannot leave without having the bread pudding though! This was completely a good time! I left full and happy and even had leftovers! I'm going to try my hardest to not be here at least once a week.... LoL#sogood
Main: Brisket Sandwich with barbecue sauce, Sides: Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts with soy vinaigrette, Coleslaw, Sweet Corn Fritters with Honey-Chile dipping sauce. Drink: Dr. Pepper mixed with Seagrams Ginger-Ale (with an environmentally friendly paper straw of course)! Really enjoyed the meal here the main brisket sandwich was very tender and edible, no complaints. I actually topped my sandwich with the coleslaw, it was hyper remarkable! The bread was fresh and soft. The Brussels sprouts were a surprise as I had never had them sliced with soy sauce before. They were very tasty. Mac and Cheese was average by Southern Grandmother standards. I really enjoyed the Sweet Corn Fritters and its Honey Chile dipping sauce. The fritters were served hot and I've added photos so you can examine the texture. Of course you can't wash all of this down easily but a Dr. Pepper mixed with Seagrams Ginger-Ale ? makes that all possible with a delightful thirst quench. A bottle of water will run you back approximately $3 so carefully consider your drinking options. I definitely recommend Mighty Quinn's if you enjoy barbecue (and if you're a very hungry college student that wants a good bang for their buck). I really missed places like Smoke Shack in GA so having smoked barbecue nearby was very rewarding and filling. I had tipped during the purchase but after the meal was completed, I decided to add an extra $5 to the tip jar for the employees. They really did seem to care and did display some southern hospitality. This location was also very clean. Keep up the good work! ?Please visit my Youtube @ DE Media Drive as well as my DebtFreeAssociate blogsite (link also available within Youtube) for other product views and reviews. Best Wishes!
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU'RE STARVING!!!Or else you will order everything on the menu and end up eating everything you ordered because they're delicious! We dined in with a party of 11 (4 adults, 7 kids). Place was very clean, as expected since the restaurant is fairly new. Staff is very friendly. Very nice and modern bbq joint ambiance. We sat at their very large wooden picnic table and still had room for more people.Their brisket is out of this world and the ribs are perfectly smoked! I'm not a fan of brussel sprouts but MQs changed my mind. Seriously, don't knock it till you try it! Fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right amount of salt. Mac & cheese is above average, but the kids loved it. Cornbread is also good, nice big portion. I don't like cole slaw unless it's homemade and their slaw is homemade, for sure!I will definitely be back for more to try the rest of menu!
Super expensive when you consider the ratio of fat to meat for the brisket and the ratio of bone to meat for the ribs. Their meat seasonings were really good. Mac and cheese was good, brussel sprouts were delicious, and the burnt end baked beans were a must try. Getting the two meat combo, two sides, some cornbread, and a drink will easily run you close to $50. At that point I’d rather go to an actual restaurant. I know bbq places are expensive but the prices charged here do not match the quality of meat served. A side of rice costs $6, lol! It was a fun try though.
The food was good. The brisket was a little fatty but the burnt ends were on point. Not a huge fan of the Mac and cheese. I'd go again. Hopefully the brisket is a little better next time.
