Breakfast Coffee & Tea Portuguese

Came in expecting to find Portuguese pastries and galao (Portuguese latte). Instead encountered a fancy grill joint. Got a galao, and asked for 2 eggs with Taylor ham on a roll. Should have noticed there were no prices on the menu but I am seldom sticker shocked and will pay a premium for tasty food and overall experience. I will take my business to another local place or bagel joint. $10 for a standard breakfast sandwich with no side, packed in foil is unacceptable. The $4 for large coffee /latte I can probably justify to a degree. The system “was down” so they couldn’t give me change back so I reluctantly left a $1 tip. They will not get business from me again. 3 stars on taste and ambiance/decor, but I don’t place value on decor and loud electronic rave music at 8:15am on Saturday. This is a neighborhood place, in a working class neighborhood and not even on a main artery of town. Not priced right!

Staff was awesome, the food was great and the ambiance of the cafe was welcoming.

Great coffee and amazing desserts. We enjoyed our weekend here for we were able to meet new friends while having coffee together with my old chums.

The most expensive mediocre bacon egg & cheese I’ve ever had. The prices aren’t listed on the menu hanging no doubt bc no one would pay $9.32 for a small breakfast sandwich. I know prices everywhere are going up but no where around have I seen such high prices for such mediocre food.

Breakfast was fast an seasoned, Def goin back

Place was uninviting , food was bland. I expected so much more with there recognition and good reviews. Did not have a lot of items available although they were on the menu.

Ordered steak and over easy eggs with home fries. My steak was freezer burned and I was charged despite not eating it. My daughter’s food was good, but advise others to check the meat when you order. Definitely not returning.

Food super good and fresh owner is a great guy and has great recommendations

Great food!! Loved my roll and shake! Good vibes!

This is my favorite local restaurant. The owner, Tristan , makes a point to welcome visitors and make sure they feel at home. The staff has always been friendly and responsive to me.My favorite breakfast is the Brownbelt. A BLT sandwich with an added fried egg and Tristan’s homemade BLT sauce. It is light and very tasty.Give it a try and enjoy! I highly recommend it.SC
