Used to like their soy garlic chicken. Ordered them tonight - they were dry and tough. The wings looked like leftovers that were refried. Never had such terrible tasting chicken wings!
Delicious chicken, but the hygiene and customer service was horrible!! I placed an order of soy garlic wings, as I was waiting for my order the cashiers are eating at the register and playing in their hair! I had to ask them was that my order, and that’s when they proceeded to check to see if that was my order. After receiving my order I made it home to enjoy my food. Come to find out, they gave me the WRONG order instead of the wings that I placed! You can’t never get through to the store, I finally spoke to a young lady by the name of Grace, she asked me the same questions over and over on what kind of wings do I have. I repeatedly explained to her what I had, she finally said her manager Rudy asked for me to email them the picture of wings. So I did, Grace immediately called me back to relay the message from her manager Rudy, stating that I only took a picture of 3 wings and they can only replace 3 wing. I kindly told Grace, “tell your manager that they can refund me money that is due to me, whatever the difference is!” She quoted, “my manager said she only sees a picture of the 3 wings so they can’t refund you!” I told her that I will make a complaint and write a review. Grace said, “go abased and make the complaint!” I will NOT buy anything else from this location, my money can be spent somewhere who appreciates my money and me as a customer!!! Customer service is very important to me!! Rudy and Grace will NEVER see me again. Best of luck on your business!! But again my money will be spent somewhere else!
We went to Bonchon in Stuyvesant, Union, NJ, May 1, 2022, around 6pm. and experienced the most terrible service. Not only the long wait for our food to be served, but also the very arrogant chubby girl cashier, I regret that I didn’t get her name.We ordered chicken fried rice balls and bottled water. Chicken came after 15 minutes, and then that’s all. They forgot to serve the rice and it’s almost another 15 to 20 minutes again, and we already asked why our rice is not served yet, our chicken is getting cold. Instead of apologizing, the chubby cashier answered back arrogantly that they have a lot of orders blah blah blah. We actually saw that they were busy with online orders, and putting no priority to customers dining in.This made me mad because we are having early dinner, we didn’t have lunch and we are starving. She was arguing with me, imagine! She is the most arrogant restaurant staff i have encountered.YOU CHUBBY STAFF SHOULD BE TRAINED WITH GOOD CUSTOMER TREATMENT!

We called to make an order over the phone and because the value of our order was over 50 dollars, we had to come to the restaurant and wait around 15 minutes for them to make the food. When we got there, the incompetent staff told us it would now take around 1 hour for our food to be made because they got an “influx” of orders. I don’t know what kind of operation they’re running but it’s the kind of thing that will kill your business. Just be upfront and say we’re not taking orders right now. This is ridiculous!
Chicken wings are ALWAYS very tasty and satisfying, but the service was EXCEPTIONALLY slow this go round.They even told a customer he was short 1 penny and REFUSED to give him his order if it wasn't paid!!! I gavethem 5 cents and told them take care of the next 4 people!
We wanted some good Korean fried chicken after a disappointment with a highly rated place last week. This place was better in regards to enough sauce/flavor on the chicken. The drumstick pieces were slightly dry but are decent in size. Parking in back of storefront with entrance through the back made for convenient access. May come back but part of me want to keep looking.
Not a great experience compared to other Bonchon locations. We went in for an early lunch at 12pm. The restaurant was empty but it took 10 minutes for anyone to come to the table.The fries came out first, cold, then the chicken came out lukewarm. The chicken was dry and tasted old, as though it had been under a heat lamp.Considering that we must have been one of the first tables of the day, if not the first, I'm guessing that our food had been reheated from the previous day.
Their chicken strip are amazing as always. I got the garlic soy which was popping with flavor. I also got the takoyaki. Which wasn't as great but still good. The consistency was wet which still had good flavor but was also burnt. Overall amazing food and I would go back in a heartbeat. Noted that it's better to order in advance.
When in around 6:30 PM on a Wednesday night waited as long as usual but when I got home the chicken was all dried out greasy tasteless obviously had been sitting for a really long time very very disappointing. Even little thing like supposed to come with pickles no pickles and french fries greasy and old first time does ever happened at the Union store.
