The strawberry banana smoothie was an unripe banana flavor with no sweetener. Not a touch of pink to indicate a strawberry. There was no flavor from the 'milk'. The endless summer juice was offensively overpowered by ginger. It had no sweetness from the carrots. It was also room temp, offsetting the ginger. The "stupid cupid" bowls smoothie base was too bland to indicate its flavor. Some of the strawberrys sliced on top were too thin, old, soggy and inedible.
I tried to order a playa bowl 30 mins to closing and the website wouldn’t allow me and neither would Uber eats so I called and they refused to take my order over the phone. I then ask so why time do you close I’ll come in before that. I came in before closing and was told by ALEX and another coworker that I was not being served. They told me because it’s closing time after verifying that they serve u till closing and doors close at an exact time. I made it before that time. Alex was extremely rude and has no business having a job there. I told them I was coming and was told it was okay. I order here all the time now I’ll never order from this location again. Disgusting rude staff and should have more proper training. The female with the glasses refused to give me her name and was very hesitant about giving me her managers number. I’m so disappointed it’s not worth ordering from this location with the horrific staff.
Saw this place from a Tik Tok (wandering_for_eats) and happened to drive past it so decided to give it a try. This has been the best and most delicious dessert I have tried in a while that also didn’t leve me with a guilty conscience. I ordered the Nutelloco which had strawberries, coconut and chocolate pieces, granola, coconut ice cream smoothie, Nutella and bananas which I opted out on. At first I thought the price was a bit high but as soon as I tried it and saw how much it had and the good quality of the ingredients, I realized it was more than worth it. I will definitely go back and take my family to try the rest of their menu.
I found a strand of black hair in the açaí bowl tucked in the coconut shavings when we opened it. Please have the employees wear hairnets. It’s truly disgusting. It’s too late for me to go back and request a refund, so in the garbage it goes.
So basically its a good place and I have been to many other locations in Jersey but the staff at this location has always been to lazy to put their effort. They close at 10:00 pm and wash their juicer at 9:30 pm. Even if you go at 10:35 they will not give you any juice and will say “we’re about to close sorry”. The last time I went she almost messed up my bowl in a rush to leave. And today, at 9:50ish I ask them for a green bowl and she takes out a tiny amount saying thats all we have. I humbly asked her if she can blend another one and they always refuse you for anything saying no we’re bout to close. The base doesn’t even looks green. Its white or something but they dont care no matter from how far someone is driving just to get a bowl. That’s been my experience at this location only im sorry for that.

Fresh, fresh, fresh!! Love this place but the national coin shortage can't mean I get no change. Gotta fix this at your end. When bill is 10.66 and you have no change why not charge me an even ten! Just say'n
Playa Bowls is a breath of fresh air. Nice to have a place like this . And it’s immaculate.
Smoothies / juices / bowls are great but service is awful. Rude staff are super unwilling to take your order in person when they’re chit chatting together in the back. I’ll go back, but will order in advance to cut down on dealing with the service issues
Just came back from union city location which I've ordered many times before. They got my order wrong, I ordered acia and my receipt also says that but they gave me something else as a base, was kinda like melon seeds, I didn't like it at all so I didn't even eat what they gave me so I basically overpaid to eat the few toppings it had. Unfortunately I didn't realize the order was wrong untill I got home and took 2 bites, otherwise I would have immidetly asked for them to remake it or refund.Maybe they have new workers and they literally have no idea what they are doing.Additionally they don't answer the phone (was trying to to call ahead to put an order in for pick up)
