Ordered 3 platters.oxtails,fish,jerk chicken and a side of wings. Food was excellent.portions large. Wife is a pessimist and she loved it.
Food is usually good... but it was horrible tonight..everything about it was... horrible...!it was a selivery...so no customer service rating..I believe they changed cooks..&I pray they change back.. cause it was bad...!!...I paid 35$&I can barely eat it.....
I'm not sure whose "soul food" inspired this restaurant but they definitely need to start from round one.
Very personal attention to your order. Friendly and personable. Food is like grandmother's house at Sunday dinner.
$25 for mostly rice and only a tiny little bit of meat, what a ripoff, don't waste your money on this place
Visited for the first time this afternoon after seeing posts on Facebook. I ordered the Large portion - Oxtails which came with 2 sides and choice of white or yellow rice with black beans and homemade cornbread ( not Jiffy) I chose the collard greens and baked Mac & cheese. All I can say is YUMMY!!! The portion size could probably feed two people ( they have a medium size as well). I literally could not stop eating it. I ate some for lunch and then more for dinner!!! The owner is so kind and helpful!! I can’t wait to try more of the selections! I would say run , don’t walk, if you love Southern style soul food. Due to Covid conditions you can’t dine in but hopefully when times are better that may be available - as there is a closed dining area! I highly recommend the food!!!

First time there. Very pleasant, didn’t know what to expect. Staff was very friendly, complimented me on my fragrance. Had a great conversation. When I arrived home and began to eat my jerk chicken Mac and cheese green beans and rice, I was pleased to know it tasted as good as I make it. I’ll be returning definitely
I must say that I did not have a good experience for my catered order from this place for Thanksgiving. A week prior, I ordered a meal for the holiday, paid a significant amount , only to find out that the entire pan of macaroni and cheese was burnt to a crisp after I brought it home. At the time of placing the order, I received attitude from the owner because I initially felt the quote she gave me for the order was too high.In any event, I wound up ordering and paid for it. After discovering the food was burned, I immediately contacted the owner to tell her what transpired, and she insisted that her business does not burn any food, and asked me to send pictures. In addition she mentioned about possibly ordering a new pan. Mind you, I lived a significant distance from the restaurant and this never should have occurred in the first place.. I texted her the pics and received no response from the owner.Needless to say, this was absolutely disappointing because I had several guests that included my husbands family coming over for the holiday. In addition to that, I ended up having to go to the store last minute to purchase additional items to compensate for the burned food. More importantly, I spent a significant amount for this catered order so that was a huge loss.In closing, this was a lesson learned. Very unprofessional, and I will never order and/or waste my money on this place again.
I placed an order for 5 items at around 6:40 and they cancelled it 20 minutes later saying I ordered too late! Just letting y’all know not to place any orders close to closing time because you might receive spit or hair along with your meal.
