I love the food at Bamboo grill. I drive 45 minutes to get food there - that's how much I love the food. Most of the food I've had there has been great. I especially love the curry goat, curry chicken and the snapper. I love the curry goat but I think it's a bit on the expensive side. The mac & cheese and cabbage are very tasty. I don't recommend the plantains - every time I've had them they have been dry and over cooked.
Everything is immaculate! I’m from south Jersey I came to trenton for other reasons but decided I wanted to try some of their food. This was the spot I picked and I’m very satisfied with my decision.
Had the ox tail dinner with two sides and rice and peas. The food was very good just wished they had some type of spice oil or sauce to add to it to give it and extra kick in taste. I love the spicyness of the Scotch Bonnet Pepper so it would have been nice to have had something like that to put on the food. They where very busy so since this was my first time going there I learned quick to call ahead next time I want to order. Also the portions are not over priced like some other places in the area serving this type of food. Overall it is a good choice to make I would recommend this spot.
So, hands down, best Jamaican spot in the area! However, the customer service is ? painful. I do understand working with people all day can be tough. Customers should be greeted when they walk in the door and asked, "how can I help you." I always feel like I have to approach and give the info and struggle to even get eye contact..Keep up the great food?
It has been my mission to find the best jerk chicken in Trenton. No I am not Jamaican but I consider myself well versed with it's amazing cuisine and I know what good jerk chicken is when I taste it. I have tried every Jamaican spot in Trenton and without a doubt this is "THE ONE. The Jerk was on point with just the right amount of scotch bonnet and flavor. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to try their other dishes. Mr. Morgan you've got some competition.
This restaurant is the best restaurant ever been to so far and Trenton the service is so good and the food is awesome. I recommend anybody to go there and eat.
The Bamboo Salad is amazing!!!Best Jamaican restaurant in the state! And I’ve tried a whole lot!!!! What makes this restaurant unique is the authenticity of the flavors. Just makes you feel like you’re on the island. Will be back again soon!
My husband and I drove all the way from Philly to try out this restaurant and it was very much worth the 45 minutes trip! The staff were friendly and they play real nostalgic reggae music that brought us back to our honeymoon in Jamaica hehe. 10/10 recommend
The food is delicious but the customer service is lacking. Long waits on the phone past 10 or 15 minutes, always putting people on hold. Haven’t been able to call in order for a while because of this. Please do better.
OMG!!! Best Jamaican restaurant in New Jersey PERIOOODT!!! Great music and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming unlike most Jamaican restaurants. My friend Julia put me on to them and I see myself eating there again next week lol
