I bought 1 roti & boneless curry chicken, 2 sorrel drinks, 1 tamarind ball, Mattai, 1 plum snack & 1 cherry snack. The guy at the counter said $38. I was surprised at the price, but paid on my debit card. $40.52 was taken from my account. I’ve not had that happened before when the cashier was the woman, but this event left a bad taste in my mouth, especially as the guy had such poor customer service to begin with, ending with him inflating the price then taking even more from my account is reason for me not to return. Sad as I’ve shopped here since they first opened and the Dad was in charge. The young man at the front should stay away from customers. He’s either really bad at Math, or a thief.
The food is ok here. But the customer service is bad. The guy the sits in front is rude. I shouldn’t have to ask for your to put my drinks in a bag. Or have to ask for napkins and utensils after buying food for damn near 40 dollars. It’s really simple y’all.
I traveled 30 minutes to this place. Because someone recommended it. And I was VERY DISAPPOINTED ☹️ l got two oxtail platters. That was very overpriced for the amount of food that was given. And Curry a Chicken platter. The Curry Chicken was very dry even though it had gravy on it. But it wasn't a bad taste. But the Oxtails platters was absolutely god awful. They were tuff and dry and had a very bland taste like no flavor at all!! The gravy taste like old oil. My husband and I both took no more than two bites and we had to do something that I could honestly say that we have never done before. We thru both platters away. We we're absolutely gross ? out. The only reason I even gave it one star because the customer service was excellent. And the place was very clean. But I couldn't see myself giving it anymore than that.
The food was delicious. Me and my husband are vegans and we don’t dine out a lot. We were referred by our loctician to check out the spot. We were extremely impressed with the food. Flavor, portions and customer service was A1. We didn’t make it out the parking lot. We will definitely be back ???✅
My favorite roti shop in the east coast. Wife and I driver from Delaware to be there. Great curry duck, rotis, doubles. Wife loves the chow. SO good. they need to do pepper rotis, maybe saheena too. I from toronto, this place goes up too with them. cheers.
What an amazing find! We took the train to Trenton from Philadelphia and happened to find this amazing spot for lunch before heading to Grounds for Sculpture. One of a kind spot, delicious food! We were lucky enough to have some help ordering some dishes from two women in line before us who were clearly experts with this cuisine. Highly recommend for a tasty and unique experience and very friendly staff and diners.
My sister and I were heading to the Grounds for Sculpture garden and decided to stop here for lunch. Best decision ever! Everything we ate was very delicious, and the staff super friendly. Bonus was that we had enough left over from the huge portions to take home for later!
Delicious Trinidadian food. Serving can easily feed two or three people. Will definitely be ordering again!
Being a born and raised in South Trini where good roti shops are everywhere, I know a thing or two about good East Indian food. They’re definitely the best I’ve had in NJ or PA. Their roti is better than what I’ve had in queens. Their doubles is pretty decent but queens will win that battle. Overall, quality trini Indian food and the price isn’t bad either.
Watery curry chicken!! No green seasoning used! Food tasted bland :(Such a disappointment.
