*Beware, racist woman working at the front*I have to say, the waiters and the food at this diner are both good. We’ve always had friendly waiters and the food comes out quick, hot and delicious. However, the woman at the front with the black hair is another story. I am Hispanic and she has never greeted me despite my saying a friendly hello every time I have come in. At first, my husband and I thought, she must be busy or didn’t hear me, but this is the 3rd time we have gone in and she has ignored me. To make matters worse, while my white husband was paying, she was very pleasant to him AND she greeted a white man who walked through the door before he even greeted her. We will not be returning to this diner while this racist greeter continues to work here.
First day of Stay-cay vacation. Wanted to go out to breakfast on my own to decompress and enjoy the mild morning. They seated me all the way in the back by the kitchen, not lit well. All the other people were sitting up front near the well lit area and windows ( about 6 or 7 other couples). What was I, chopped liver??? Just because I came in single does not mean I want to hide. I came in because I wanted to be out. Not hidden away from everyone. I am a caretaker. I wanted to take care of myself today. SMH! If you see someone by themselves, don't assume they need a quiet area or don't have a partner. I made a choice to be served breakfast today. Which I might add was good. Your behavior ridiculous.
Stopped in here for a relaxing lunch.Kit had the Deluxe Cheese Burger and I chose the the Grilled Cheese Cordon Blue Sandwich with Cole Slaw and pickle slices on the side.First time here and the food was delicious and prepared well.Staff very friendly and made you feel at home.
Love this little diner. It's deceiving - bigger on the inside. Food is very good. Friendly service is appreciated ?
The fried beef liver and onions were the best I have had in a long time. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to anything on this menu, you will enjoy.
We have been going their for months and it keeps going downhill. We get to our table today and their was a butter package on the chair my husband sat on.I got a coffee and there was lipstick on the mug. I told the waitress, she picked up the cup, laughed, and said "Oh look, it's my shade!"The staff cusses while talking to each other around the table like the customers aren't there. The ladies behind the counter always complain about management not knowing what their doing. It's all a mess. The lipstick and butter was the final straw today. We are never coming back to this nonsesnse.
When ever we are in the area we stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Always enjoy the food and the service. Very nice place to eat!
Silverton diner is the best diner I ever been too has excellent customer service amazing food!!! And the 2 twins that work there Jackie and Jill are great workers they are fast and they are very nice I think they should both get employee of the month. The establishment is fmone of the finest I ever ate at thanks for allowing me to give my input
Went there for dinner this past week. Food served was cold (pastrami "hot" sandwich ). My mom had a burger and tomato on the burger looked fresh but must have been sitting with soured liquid because it was rancid smelling. My mom was sick all night from her food. My eggs were over cooked so bad they were like paper. The waitress was a very nice lady. She noticed my dad didn't eat his sandwich and saw how gross it looked ( took it off the bill, even though we didn't say anything).Though I understand bouncing back from covid is difficult in the restaurant industry there is no excuse for serving spoiled or poorly cooked food. I would not go back.
We ordered Sandwiches and the food came out quickly and was plentiful. The service was OK. Our waitress wasn't very attentive, had to find her to ask for more coffee and I had to find my own Ketchup bottle on another table. Prices are very fair, comparable to other diners throughout NJ.
