Googled best sandwiches near me looking to get lunch for me and my boyfriend on our work break and this spot popped up less than 3 miles from us. Amazing atmosphere and food that smelled delicious right upon entering with a cute little produce stand right out front. The owner was kind and accommodating and gave us snacks while we waited for our sandwiches they even made fresh chicken cutlets for my sandwich. The food was fantastic and everything is made fresh daily from fresh ingredients purchased every morning even the mozzarella is made in house and the bread was perfect. Definitely make a visit to this one you won't be disappointed.
Just go. I promise, You won’t regret it. From the second we walked in, Anthony and Mama made us feel welcome and sat us down to some delicious espresso and fresh pastries. The only thing sweeter than the pastries, was the conversation. These two are so genuine, so special… their hospitality brought tears to my eyes and we couldn’t help but take some incredible biscotti to go, along with some luck from their masked figurine. Thank you, Anthony & Mama. You’ve made customers for life, and we will see you every time we come home to visit.
I absolutely love this deli! Originally from North Jersey, I am very pleased with Scala’s. Solid & true Italian food in a small deli is where to get it. I am looking forward to going back and trying other food.

The food Anthony made for our after confirmation dinner was DELICIOUS ! Penne vodka, chicken franchaise & eggplant so good the kids ask for it ! We always enjoy the sandwiches & deserts too. And can't forget the best bread ! You definitely need to stop in & try any of Scala's food, you won't be disappointed.

Had a great experience today. The food was exceptional, the family that runs this place made me feel like i was a life long friend. I was so pleased, the Lady came out to say hi and at age 86 is as sharp as a tack, funny, endearing and cares about the food. The man, who i am assuming is her son was so kind to everyone who came in, and gave me a fabulous huge semolina roll for our lunch. The 3 of us ate what i got and were absolutely thrilled. The hot fresh sfogliatell was the literal icing on the cake.
Anthony and his mother are the best. The food is outstanding as well. Love stopping in here for lunch.
This place is our go to for anything homemade. We moved from NYC and found Scala’s during the pandemic. They sell boar’s head, our favorite. Now back to working full time I never have to worry about dinner. I pop in early on my way home, grab anything fresh, heat and serve. No worries. I’ve even called ahead of time and asked to put something aside for me to grab since they close at 6. Mom and Anthony are a great team. We love supporting our neighborhood, small, family business.
