As a Mexican I was happy to find a food spot with a homey feel, it even begins with the front door design of El Chavo. Big portions with a fair cost. Love the variety of the menu from tacos de lengua to aqua de sandia. Highly recommend getting an aqua fresca over the bottled jarritos since you can buy jarritos at any grocery store. I ordered to go and waited about 10 minutes during the lunch rush, even though they told me it would be about a 15 minute wait. I came for lunch on a Wednesday and by then they were already out of aqua de jamaica so I got guayaba instead. Seems like a popular spot for locals.

1st time visiting as we had a craving for Mexican food. Very friendly staff! We ordered, payed & sat to wait for our order. Admired the paintings on the walls. A few people were eating at tables. All food smelled great! Our order was ready in about 15 min. All packaged well to take out. Smelled amazing on ride home. We certainly were NOT disappointed. Food was delicious! We over ordered cause it's so hard to decide. We have plenty to eat tomorrow. Burritos are very large & tasty. We ordered 1 chicken & 1 pork. My favorite was carnitas soft tacos. We also ordered chicken flautas. Ate those 1st as they are crunchy. We will return. All very reasonably priced too! Enjoyed everything!
This place is my best kept secret for authentic, delicious Mexican food. Prices are amazing for the portions. Tacos are divine as they are made with hand made tortillas. For lunch, a breaded chicken torta hits the spot. And their agua frescas, absolutely refreshing.
New to Tom’s River, me and my husband were looking for a good Mexican place to get our tortas from. My sister recommended this place and I’m glad she did the food is always fresh and hot every single time. We order almost every week!

Great prices, great food, nice atmosphere. Don't park in front I learned the hard way lot is way too small. Ample parking in rear. Way to much food to finish in one sitting!! We'll be back, often..
WOW THIS PLACE IS CLEARLY FIVE STARS!!!!WE HAVE BEEN GOING CONSITENTLY AFTER WORK ONCE A WEEK AND NEVER A BAD MEAL.PLACE IS SMALL BUT VERY CLEAN AND THE FOOD IS JUST FANTASTIC.JUST ONE NOTE IS PARK IN THE BACK LOT ITS MUCH EASIERTHAN THE FRONT!!!!!
I was having a party on Sunday and ran out of food the food they made 2 big trees for me in a matter of a few minutes great job everybody
