Ordered a gmas pie online for 4pm got a email at 308pm that my order was being prepared would be ready in 15minutes , went to pick up my order he told me I put the order in for 4pm I told him about the email I received. This is not the point although they have zero people skills, the pies are made from pre-made shells, not fresh dough.Won't be going back, first and last time.
First time coming in here and last! Rude staff. So unfriendly. We came in first and they skipped us and went to a customer that trailed in behind us. Must’ve been a regular or something. Dirty looks from the guy taking our order and attitude-ridden responses. My Sicilian piece was in the box with all of its cheese off. Also judging by the condescending responses to your customers on these reviews, it doesn’t really seem like you care about your customers. Guess you value quantity over quality. Don’t waste your time and money here.
Repent the Kingdom Of Heaven is Near !! Praise God Hallelujah, Jesus Saves - Edit After response from the Owner, Nowhere in the Bible does it say 4 dollars for one little slice of pizza as being Godly my so called brother. I remember goofing off on the streets of Sparta NJ as a kid and paying a dollar a slice for mushroom pizza. 4 dollars for one slice of plain pizza? What are you nucking futz kiddo? We always loved Joey D's. We ordered at least once a week for delivery and went there for dinner frequently. Two things that bothered me.First, we went to dinner with friends for my birthday. I bragged about the food. It was their first time there.I was disappointed, my friends were also disappointed. The final straw was when I put an order in for delivery. Normally we get pizza, wings, subs and or dinner entrees. This time I decided to try their zapoles, too. We waited and waited and waited. After a few calls, they said they needed to go get powdered sugar for the zapoles. That was the hold up.So finally after over two hours, we finally got our food.Afterwards, I couldn't wait to eat the zapoles. One bite and I spit it out.No powdered sugar, not even regular sugar. They were covered with salt. They not only jerked us around and lied about it. I'm sure it was intentional. We also waited over two hours. So, needless to say, it was arrivederci to Joey D's for us.I haven't been there since and have no intentions of ever going back.I only wish I could've given "NO" stars.
The owners are good guys, very friendly staff and the chefs serve an amazing pasta dish and let's not forget about the pizza..
My husband and I came here for the first time and sat down to have dinner before our movie next door started. We got to the restaurant around 6:10pm and put in a order for fried raviolis. They came out and they were over cooked and burnt on the edges. We looked past it and said whatever, it happens. Our movie was due to start at 7pm and we asked our waitress (Desiree) how long it took to make a pizza because we were on a time crunch. She said no more than 8 minutes. I said "are you sure because our movie starts in a half hour". She assured us 8 minutes. Ok, 20 minutes went by. It's now 6:50. Pizza isn't done, we let the waitress know we gotta go. Our movie starts in 10 minutes. She goes to the cook and let's him know we have to leave and that we don't want to pay for a pizza that we did not recieve or accept. It was still in the oven and after firmly telling her that we have a movie to catch at 7 she insisted it would only be 8 minutes to cook. She comes over to us and tells us we HAVE to pay for the pizza, and the most they can do is give us a discount. I said no, we're not paying for the pizza, we're leaving and we'll gladly pay for the burnt raviolis and drinks. Then she left our table and she went behind the counter and started throwing f bombs and made sure to reach every ear behind the counter like the drama queen that she is to let everyone behind the counter know that we were refusing to pay for a pizza that we were told we'd get in 8 minutes. My husband was fed up and just paid for everything, even left the drama queen a tip that she did not deserve and left it at that. Never again. I suggest your waitress cleans up her unnecessary attitude and seeks therapy for her anger issues. After all, she is the one who put herself in this situation. Good luck.
Haven’t been there since I caught them telling me they pan fry the chicken for the chicken parm.I watched the employee(not a cook) drop a big chicken nugget into the deep fat fryer.Funny, my old school Italian friends gave up on this joint(can’t call it a restaurant anymore, it’s a “food joint”)Best bet? Cook at home!
My friend placed an order and when she got the food it wasn’t cooked the way she asked. It had no flavor or seasoning. She called and the owner hung up on her. I have been in this restaurant myself and the owner has been very rude to me. Don’t waste your money bad food, bad attitude and high prices!
Felt incredibly unwelcome as soon as I entered the door. Dirty looks are dead giveaways to this accompanied by the insincere "how may I help you?" questions. The sauce was tasteless and the crust tasted like there was too much water in the dough. The only reason they got 2 stars is from the quick in and out service and despite the dirty looks the workers were helpful.
I ordered off the catering menu$350 of food for a repass it was the best money I ever spent I am a professional chef myself and I could not have done it for any lessJoey D's knows what they're doing
