took this starving homeless girl out for a treat. exquisite, exceptional fine dining. 10/10 would eat again.
Waited 20 minutes and no one even looked at us! No one greeted us, asked us for drinks, or anything! AND no one was really even in there because it was 10:50pm. It was Ridiculous!! So many waiters/waitresses passed us and no one even batted an eye. Worst service I’ve gotten, EVER.
You definitely need management to make it a mission to hire more people. There should not be tons of people waiting to be seated while there is so many open seats. If they really care about being a reliable establishment the higher ups need to do a better job of making sure they are properly staffed otherwise people will stop coming to this location.
Wow! It's amazing how bad this place was. And i never had any high expectations after deciding to go there. Ok, walking into this place on an early Friday evening and there were not many people in the place was the first clue but I let it slide. We sat at the table for at least 15 minutes before someone ever came to the table, which was the next bad omen. We should have just left at that point because how could it not get worse. I had a club sandwich and my nephew had mozzarella sticks, plus we each had one drink (tea and a rum&coke). The bill was $40. And the food was definitely not worth anywhere near that. Mozzarella sticks? Just like the frozen ones you buy in the grocery store. Club sandwich? Hmm never saw one of those with only two pieces of bread. Just bad all around. I could go on further but I left a more than average tip and left knowing that I would never go to an Applebee's again. You lose some, and then you lose some more at these kinds of places. Stick to a much better locally owned place. They're out there.
Not the usual happy time at Applebee's. Waited too long for service.. tried giving us old coffee claiming it was just brewed. And to top it off, no vinegar due to shipping problems. Any good manager should have taken care of that issue ... so as not to disrupt the restaurant.
Worst Experience Ever!!! Had a late dinner with an old colleague of mine, and we ate and paid, the service was decent, but nothing to rave about. As we are leaving my friend was cornered by the waitress and publicly humiliated over not tipping on the credit card, little did the waitress know we left cash on the table.
I'm going to be truthful here by saying I've never cared much for Applebee's. So many issues at a different location. (Stafford location) I sat and watched my family eat because the server forgot to bring my dinner and when it finally came they begrudgingly had to give it to me to go since the rest of the family was finished. Refuse to go back there. Ps the food was mediocre.Now, the Toms River location was great! The server was warm and friendly. She even let us use real menus since some of our party didn't have access via phone. The drink specials were tasty and at a great price! I'd go there again.
The service was very poor I was the only one at the bar and had to wait. I ordered a cheese bacon cheese burger I got better at McDonald's not to mention I had to chase Dow bar tender for condiments. She looked like she didn't want to be there and also not very appetizing looking. Trying to be a little nice she should clean her clothes more often. I spent $23.00 dollars for this.
Did the 2 for $24, an appetizer and 2 entree's with a friend and had Caesar salad and chicken strips and french fries. The waitress, Jessica, was very outgoing and humorous. She was also very attentive to our table and all the tables she was serving really.
Applebee's going downhill. Portions are smaller. Steak is disgusting. Overcooked everybody sending steak back. Nobody offered me the 2420 I caught it later and they took the money off and then complained because I wanted a birthday shot. Had to bring my own cake like my own candle and sing Happy Birthday all by myself to my wife. Shame on Applebee's. Had similar steak experience at another Applebee's in area. I'm taking them off my list and going with long horn as the lesser of all evils.
