We are customers of 20 + years. Whenever we have a chance to celebrate an event or have the urge for Italian dining, we make a reservation near the piano on the bar side of the restaurant. There are also two other rooms and two outside patios and plenty of parking. The specials are always so tasty your mouth explodes with flavors. On Friday we had the (melt in your mouth) Osso Bucco and it was amazing: the sauce mixing with the risotto is so flavorful. Our other dish was the pork chop ...so juicy you must try it.When you eat in your typical restaurant -and I mean your go-to places- the staff is assigned locations and they tend to stay in their area. You get good service but... Here, no matter what category of employee walks past your table, if they see something that might need attention, they stop and check with you or if you are talking they just do it. Even if its something as simple as topping off your water glass. The point is everyone services you all through your stay.If haven't been, then you need to make that call !
Fantastic food, gentle warm atmosphere and the service is excellent. Every single item on the menu, the bruschetta, the salad, the appetizers, the entrees and the desserts are all wonderful. We drive over 2 hours to get here but always make a weekend of it in NYC. Live music and friendly staff never disappoint. Our all-time favorite Italian restaurant, including Italy itself. Excellent!
First time here. Went without reservations, and was able to get a seat at the bar after about 30 minutes. Bar area seats about 10-12...some booths behind the chairs at the bar. They do bring you a small dish of Bruschetta with bread....Started out with Sausage Positano...Sweet Sausage was excellent over Canelinni beans, plum tomatoes, garlic (alot) & Olive Oil...about 6-7 nice pieces, for dinner my wife had the Chicken Francese over Angel hair and loved it...I had the Zuppetta....3 nice size shrimp, 3 scallops (not a scallop person but they were ok), clams were nice size, mussels were kind of small, but overall a good mix. I got it over White. Wine and Angel Hair and it was very good!!!!!!!! Right mix of everything and right amount of Wine to add moisture. What a dessert!!! I saw the guy next to me order it and I tried it and I am glad I did!!!! The Mousse Tyrolese of white chocolate mousse drizzled with a raspberry-chambord sauce was awesome and big!!!! You definitely tasted the chambord which I loved. I could not finish this but wanted to go back for more!!!! AWESOME one of my favorites to date. My wife had the Limoncello Cake and it was very good and soft!!!! Overall a great meal and cant wait to go back again....The bartender (dont remember her name) was very friendly and so busy but kept checking on our food, and was always making sure my water glass was full. Overall great service and I highly recommend and would go back again!
This restaurant had always been excellent. We went on a Monday afternoon for lunch-party of 3. The service was great, but the food wasn't. The NY strip steak Italian sandwich was tough. I had an appetizer-eggplant fritters on a bed of spinach. This was bland. This visit was disappointing. We had better meals at the family style Rockaway River Barn restaurant.
My first time to the restaurant itself and second time having their food. The first time, my job had food that the owner donated to our hospital unit during COVID and it was delicious! So my wife and I decided to go earlier today to try it out in person and can't wait to go back again. It's nice to have found a cozy, authentic Italian spot here in Morris County that is excellent. From the moment you walk through the door to the ambiance and friendliness of the servers. We ordered insallata frutte de mare for appetizer and entrees were sesame tuna & veal saltimbocca. For dessert, my mother makes an amazing ricotta cheesecake and my dad a limoncello cheesecake. So we decided to try out their limoncello cheesecake and I must say it came pretty close! It was light, tangy and balanced out just perfectly.I look forward to returning again and recommend this spot if you're in the area.
Absolutely the best. Great service and the food is awesome. My girlfriends dad's birthday was Saturday and it was done really well. Will always come back.
This place was high on my lists to try. Service and drinks were amazing but the loud obnoxious banging coming from the kitchen the whole hour kind of ruined the mood of our Valentines dinner date. My fiancé loved the shrimp risotto but my chicken was just ok.
Our group of friends was thinking were to go for dinner after Valentine’s Day, which we decided Feb 16th. With a lot of good choices of restaurants, we end up in Caffe NaVona. Most of us was our first time in this restaurant, except one of our friend. It was a very cozy place but last night was a bit crowded but everyone was able to get seated. You need a reservation. There’s a guy singing with his guitar. We ordered our drinks, we had Sangria and beer, sparkling water. ? For our appetizers, we ordered, Calamari with balsamic and Eggplant Fritters. Awesome choices, delizioso! ?For our main courses, Scallop Volpi, Pork Chop and Veal Saltimbocca, everything is delicious. Just a little of critic on the Scallop Volpi, kind of a little salty. Maybe just me. ? For our desserts, we have Creme Brûlée and Limoncello cake with coffee espresso. Service is very good, the waiters and servers are all very nice. Very much and highly recommended. We had a great time and good dinner in a cozy place. ??
Great restaurant. Great food and service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. No complaints or negative comments from anyone in our party of 22.
Delicious food and great atmosphere! I love the live piano music. Great place for a date night or special occasion.
