I'm giving this a 1 star because of the reviews and everything I read BEFORE GOING..the donations say 20.00. But when you get there it's 30.00 per person includes children 10. We we're a table of 5. But 3rd to get in when it first opened. But we're served last after everyone inside and outside we're already finished with the meals. The young kids were great with rolls and drinks. The food itself was great. Our waitress was ?. Won't ever go back. Could have had a nice steak for that price. Don't advertise 20.00 and charge 30.00

For a $30 suggested donation, get a 3 course meal wonderfully cooked. Most of this review is around what I observed while dining here, rather than the food (which is delicious and worth the suggested donation). The staff and volunteers take the mission to heart and then some. My partner and I are blessed to afford the meal and then some but we saw the staff greet and treat ALL guests with the same dignity and respect that they treated us. I saw a gentleman who looked as if he had fallen on hard times walk towards the restaurant but didn't come in. He was sort of lingering, not sure if he would be welcomed. I saw a staff member approach him and asked if he needed any help. While I didn't hear what the gentleman said the staffer left and came back with one of the cooks with some bottles of water and a take away box with food inside. While the gentleman ended up declining the food and water and walked away, I was extremely touched by the empathy and care the staff showed towards this individual. I want to thank the Bon Jovi's and the team for demonstrating that there is hope for the world.

My wife and I decided to finally have dinner at this highly rated restaurant. We arrived early and walked around Red Bank until they opened at 5pm. We were greeted by Nicole, who is a staff member, and Hillary, a volunteer server. Both were very pleasant and committed to the restaurant’s mission. They explained that the menu changes every 2 weeks. We had summer berry salads, baked Cajun buttered cod, and the chef’s house dessert, which was an amazing apple type cupcake with whipped cream. I had a decaf coffee to accompany the delicious dessert. The cost for this incredible meal was $30 per person, plus we donated $20 to “pay it forward.” We ate outdoors and enjoyed the warm weather. I spoke with the chefs and told them how much we enjoyed their food and that we would spread the word about the first class meals served here.

This restaurant is more than a restaurant. It’s a chance to give back and eat yummy food. Our server, Mo, and the asst Kim were great. We enjoyed our dinner. We highly recommend the experience.

Wonderful experience - everyone, especially, Emily, the exquisite chef and Mo, the sweetest server were just an added bonus to the delicious food! I’ll be back!!

Oh my goodness! I loved this place! The people are so nice and caring! They talked to us and helped us feel right at home. You have to try it. ?

We popped up from an Atlantic City trip. A little bit of a trek, but WELL WORTH it! The staff is delightful and so interactive. The food is delicious. They are doing good things here!

This is a must eat!! Not only for great food and great company but great philanthropy too! Menu changes every 2 weeks. Exec Chef Emily cranks out awesome food! (Eggplant meatballs all the way)! Moe is a rocking waitress! Really awesome service food and really giving back to the community! This Girl Scout loves making the world a better place and so does JBJ Soul Kitchen.

It is always a great place to stop by and eat. They treat my veterans group and everyone else that comes, as family. My group shows up early to help them with whatever is needed and then we sit down and enjoy the great food and the company

Very enjoyable experience! All of the staff were super personable! They food was tasty and well prepared! Even talked to the Head Chef Emily. Recommend to give it a try and pay it forward.
