Had a bad experience here in the past with over cooked hockey puck burgers but figured we'd give it one more chance. Came in on a week day when it was really slow for dinner. Brought us out cold, stale bread. Was trying to eat light so tried to look past that. Ordered the salmon. I cut into it to check out closer to the thicker part in the middle and it was completely raw. Finally able to send it back when someone came to check on us. Chef put the two pieces back together and cooked it a bit more. In my opinion they should have fired a new one as now the inside was dry. Manager never came over or anything. Got the bill and that less than 6 oz piece of salmon was $36. For that, one PBR and a seltzer water I walked out of there with a $53 bill. High rate robbery. Also, if you think you're gonna go to the bar for the TVs think again as all the screens having lighting damage. Do yourself a favor and go to any other place in the area

We had such an enjoyable experience. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were wonderful! We were seated immediately. The food was delicious! We recommend going here the next time you want to eat out.

B2 was mentioned to us so we tried it last minute. It has a modern, laid back vibe. They have a decent sized bar area which was busy and bustling. Service was friendly. It happened to be restaurant week so we mixed up the set menu with the regular menu. Appetizers Creamy polenta Scallops Margherita pizza Entrees Gnocchi Sardi Salmon over snap peas Dessert Pot de crème Ricotta cake We enjoyed B2 and happy to add it to our Red Bank list.

Pretty good food for what it is. Full of flavor, but improvements can be made. The burger did not automatically come with cheese but used the blue cheese from the wings to compensate. I would’ve liked to order spicy Mayo and more cheese, but the waiters had to cross the street for small things that felt like a hassle. Besides that, everything was all alright. The pizza was okay, but too much broccoli rob taking it away from the pizza. The wings, lord the wings. These wings are one of the best we’ve had. If you can find a good wing spot, it makes up for the other parts! We got 5 drinks, 4 beers, and 1 cocktail(Mexico one). Bill was around $100. 3 stars as their outdoor seating is sloppy looking, the burger doesn’t come with cheese, the pizza was just alright, it felt like a chore to ask the waiter for something in addition to the meal, and the cocktail could have been better.

Visiting during restaurant week so got to try appetizer, meal and dessert. Everything was really good. The gnocchi was so light and fresh -- best I've had. And the staff were really nice. Looking forward to going back.

Now everyone who knows me, knows that I will ALWAYS find the hottest spots for the BEST grub in the area – Red Bank certainly wouldn’t be any different! We shot over to B2 Bistro + Bar which I will preface was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We were greeted by the General Manager of the Red Bank location (they have 5 locations – 4 in Jersey and 1 in Pennsylvania), Dylan, who escorted us to our reserved table. The location itself has a cool and casual ambiance with a long beautiful old-school wood built bar, huge wood burning pizza oven and a lot of open space with high ceilings. One thing that I noticed immediately when stepping into the space - was the aroma! The foreshadowing of what was to come enveloped my nose and I could feel my taste buds anticipating the flavor that was about to be bestowed upon them! I enjoyed the history lesson that I requested from Dylan who told us all about the Bistro’s humble beginnings. I’ve always appreciated the tidbits of rich history that each restaurant that I’ve dined at offers… it’s truly amazing. I also wanted to shout out our terrific server, Shane – who was a great guide when it came to navigating the menu and the local favorites. Now… when it comes to the menu – it changes from season to season! One mainstay is the Slow Cooked Pig and now we know why… TOTAL WIN! We had the pleasure of having this dish presented by Chef Dimas Montalvo III – he’d explained the preparation to us as being an overnight slow roast of the full pig. Once ready, they pull the pork – then press and sear it in order to lock in the flavor! Eventually, when it’s ready to meet its maker… the pork is delicately placed on a bed of BBQ squash puree, and surrounded by delicious brussel sprouts! Needless to say, one bite and I was sold – the meat was soft, flavorful and melted in my mouth. WELL DONE. I am infatuated with the Korean style Crispy Chicken & Cauliflower – I could eat this dish all day long… the flavor behavior hits every one of your taste buds and legit rocks your world! The Kung-Pao style sauce is BOSS here... dressing the most perfectly fried, LARGE chicken strips - then drizzled with a hot honey that offered another layer of yum with a slight kick! If this weren’t enough, it’s accompanied by buffalo cauliflower that’ll make your mouth water. Another favorite of mine was the Cured Wings – slow and low roasted, then slapped with sriracha, fried and tossed in hot honey, sea salt, herbs and a bleu cheese crumble… WINNING. I’m pretty sure these babies spoke to my soul – sweet, spicy, crispy and full of fantastic in every bite – they’ve pushed their way into my Top Ten. Color me impressed – I didn’t expect the burger to be as on-point as it was… a Dry Aged Burger (Chuck, Brisket and Short Rib – I believe), that I thoroughly enjoyed with thick cut bacon and bleu cheese! I love that they cut their own fries in house – it’s surprising that more restaurants don’t do this, as fresh cut fries are so much better than frozen! We gorged ourselves on an order of their Rally Fries – a HUGE helping of those fresh cut, crispy fries with a Mediterranean taste thanks to a light bed of cheesy sauce; then lightly glazed with ranch, sriracha and herbs. The Polenta ala Tavola was delicious – fresh, soft and creamy; while the Warm Brussel Salad was bright and welcoming with apples, bacon, almonds and a white balsamic vinaigrette! Lastly, the Slow Cooked Meatballs were like an explosion of Little Italy in your mouth! Three well-portioned meatballs with a sweet ricotta, tucked under a light blanket of parmesan cheese – every bite was filled with bursts of saucy wonder… LOVED IT! Chef Dimas insisted that we try his Old Fashioned Crème Brulee – as stuffed as we were; we figured we’d oblige… and glad we did! Made to taste like an ‘Old Fashioned’ drink, the hints of bourbon are subtle and work sublimely with the bitters and smoked crème – great job! Highly recommended if you are in the area – I’m looking forward to eventually checking out their other locations!

A hidden gem, drinks are best I've had, food is equally as good. Will be back over and over. The layout and decor is warm and inviting. Service is fast and friendly. The bartender was polite, quick and attentive. The food has some little twists to recipes that really make it a step above the rest.

We decided to try B2 for the first time last night. We were pleasantly surprised by most of the dishes. We did had some issues with the service; starting with the young hostess (who seemed to be in over her head). We walked in at 7:20 pm and told her we had a 7:30 reservation at the Captain’s Table. She told us it would just be short wait while the current diners paid their bill. After standing there for 30 minutes we asked the hostesses what was going on. She said she was sorry but she completely forgot about our reservation and she had sat another party at the Captains Table. She offered us a table in the dining room which we accepted. Our friendly and very efficient waitress brought us some wonderful mezcal cocktails and we ordered the 5 course Chef’s menu (a predetermined menu made up by the chef). The first course if a wonderful delicious wedge salad was brought to the table in about 15 minutes. After 20 minutes the second course of meatballs arrived….again very good. This time the wait for the third item was longer: 25 minutes to be exact. It was worth the wait cause it was a delicious clams lover linguini dish. After another long 20 minute wait the fourth dish of swordfish over spinach and veggies was served. Unfortunately that dish didn’t quite measure up. Our final dish (dessert with french press coffee). was brought to the table 10 minutes later. The dessert was good - the coffee absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the coffee. We have a lot of experience eating in tapas style restaurants where dishes are brought out slowly for a no-rushed, relaxing dinner, however, we did think the combined waiting time of 90 minutes between dishes of was a bit too long (plus the 30 minute wait when we first arrived). I asked our waitress about it and her response was that the kitchen was “just too busy”. Hey no problem. We go out enough to understand that happens at good restaurants. We finally left the restaurant at 10:40 pm so it was a long evening. On a scale of 1-10 the food was a 7, the atmosphere was a 7, the waitress service an 8, but the overall operation in the kitchen last night was probably just a 6.. We like the place and we’ll be back again on a less crowded night cause we heard they serve a killer hamburger!
