Food was good today as usual. Service was unusually slow. Very slow.
I have no complaint with the food. My husband was happy with his meatball parmigian sandwich. My grilled chicken sandwich was fine, but a bit dry. However the service we had was awful. I guess we hit an off day, but I wouldn't go back. We were sitting outside at a table that we were directed to. However, after we ordered our meal, we seem to have been forgotten. From the time we ordered, (which was about 20 minutes following being seated) it was about 40 minutes until we got our sandwiches, After about 30 minutes I asked the waiter ,about our sandwiches and he said the food would be coming soon. He then brought out food to the people next to us, who had only ordered about 10 minutes before. When I asked if our food was coming, he said one sandwich was burnt and they had to recook it. If that was the case, usually someone would come out, explain the delay and offer at least a small salad or similar to tide you over. It was really not an enjoyable experience.
Great service and very good food
I am a hospitality professional and live in Ramsey. This place is an absolute gem. Great Service. Absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend adding on a side of her signature home fries, they are that good. Banana Bread was delicious. Silverware and plates were spotless. Atmosphere was great. Staff’s Uniforms looked great. The bathroom was spotless. All I can say is, keep it up! Maintain those standards of excellence!
Great food and amazing staff. I came here with my mom and grandmother for Brunch over the weekend, and while it was busy they were super attentive. They pulled out a chair for my grandmother to sit on while we waited for our table. Asked us if we wanted water or coffee during our wait... just those small gestures went along way. I will definitely be coming back.
We waited soooo long to be seated but it was worth the wait and worth every penny. The food was amazing, staffs were so lovely. Great vibe. Will definitely visit here often.
I never write reviews so that’s how you know this place is good! I’ve lived in the area for about 4 years and Giovanna's has always been on my list of places I wanted to try. I stopped in a couple weeks ago expecting a long wait because there’s always a ton of people outside but to my surprise we were seated immediately! We ordered the chicken sandwich and the rice balls and they were both out of this world! So good that we ordered the same thing for take out the next week! Food, service, & ambiance all amazing. I can see why there is always a big crowd outside waiting to get in, my only regret is not stopping by sooner! They are also byob which is a big plus in my book ?

Excellent spot to grab lunch. Wonderful food and service in the sit-down portion of the restaurant, along with a great selection of prepared foods to choose from in their store-front around the corner (excellent salads, sandwiches, and biscuits). Love this place!
Great menu choices. Frittata was great. Super family atmosphere. My weekend breakfast spot for when I come back to Ramsey. Wish I had one at home.
