Had a great meal last night. Crab cocktail app was good. 12oz filet was 4” thick. Cooked med rare correctly. Sides were good. Whipped Potatoes could have been a little stiffer for my preference but had a great taste. Good beer, wine, drinks. I don’t know what these other reviews are but this was one other better restaurants in the area.
Excellent experience and meal. Tom our waiter was terrific! Salads were perfect and the steaks cooked to perfection. Not inexpensive but well worth it!
At first we had the same issue as other people…they couldnt find our reservation. However it didnt interfere with is being seated. The host seated us right away in the bar area. Prices were a bit high but again no different than any other upscale steak and seafood restaurant that we have been too. Limited vegetarian options which was a bit of a negative because the one item they had included mushrooms which I cant eat. But again not their fault. I got potatoes au gratin and the corn for my dinner. Both were shareable sizes so couldnt finish them. Hubs had the cowboy steak, wedge salad, and maple glazed bacon slab which he enjoyed all of them. Server was attentive and friendly. Location right in Princeton University campus was convenient. We will be back
Atmosphere was warm and cozy , very friendly staff. Food thou was overly salted to a point where we actually had trouble eating it and couldn’t finish our meals. Lobster bisque was decent and the shrimp cocktail was good but not so fresh. Had an ok experience overall.
Went for an early mother's days dinner. Apps where only passable moms shrimp was over cooked. I had the aged steak it was excellent. Bartender where on point with the service and cocktails. My mom likes them strong but still a cocktail didn't have to think twice on the next one perfect! I had several whiskey and the menu for them made trying a few intimidating (it's usually scary having to ask the price and worry about about getting a hundred dollar glass). Would definitely go again.
So, I made a reservation for the next day at 11:00 A.M. Later on in the day I realized that I never received a confirmation. When I called in the evening to confirm my reservation it could not be found and I was told that there was nothing before 8:00. However, there online system was showing availability up through 3:15 and then again at 7:45 while I was speaking to them. They ruined my plans tomorrow!
A really wonderful spot. Great service, food, and wine. As a group we likely had everything on the menu and all were praising their culinary experience. I had the tomahawk and ? blue cheese sauce. Amazing! We tried three steak houses while in DC this week and this was the best. Great preparation and flavors wonderful sides and desserts.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary and we loved everything we ordered. Our waiter was very nice and even brought us a cute anniversary plate. We will definitely be coming back. We ordered the Burrata appetizer, tuna tartare appetizer (my favorite), we both got the 20 oz cowboy steak, brussel sprouts, corn, and carrot cake.
Our second visit. No doubt our favorite steaks in the area. The apps were a little less impressive this time around though still enough to feed you with a meal. Love the little touches of service, the popovers and bread to start. Food is cooked perfectly. Get the local mushrooms as a side. They are delicious.
Great place to eat as a couple. Sides are a la cart and serves more than two people you’ll have plenty of food but save room for dessert!
