Ambience is outdated and untidy, service is extremly horrible, food is good(only thing i am giving three star for). Probably not worth the re-visit. Ordered Jalapeno fried, chicken Fajitas with extra shrimp skewer, fish tacos,chicken quesedilla for kid, pine apple and water melon margarita. All were good including complimentary nachos.
I wish i can give negative 5 starts.Unwelcoming and sad faces. It looks like the staff don't want to work there. We came with family to celebrate my wife's birthday. I gave a cake to the front desk about 5 minutes in advance (to surprise my wife).The customer service is so worst that the person who was serving told everyone that you have a cake too. do you want me to bring it ? (so much for the surprise @#$#@$#@).Finally she brought the cake, didn't even remove the cake from the box. She has put entire box on the table and asked us to take the cake out and eat. @#$#@$#@$.About Food:Super suckey, we have ordered the 'starters' and 'Main Course'. She served all together. I asked, why not a starters first and then main course. She said its late (it was 8:30PM , not 9:30pm).I have ordered honey shrimp's as starter, the cook has not mixed the syrup well on shrimps. Most shrimp's were dry. Other food was cold as we try to complete the starters.FINALLY WE DID NOT OPEN THE BOX OF A CAKE, AND WENT HOME AND ENJOYED THE BIRTHDAY AT HOME.THERE IS NO CELEBRATORY BIRTHDAY SONG AVAILABLE ANYMORE.Food sucks the staff doesn't want to be there prices are very expensive no reason to come here.
It's an odd thing to critique, but the plates and glasses were too large for the table. We were in a 6 person booth and had 5 people. The Goblets for the drinks were about 5 inches in diameter. Not bad during the appetizers. Then they brought the dinners and they were presented on these HUGE platters. My wife got the fajitas, so she had 2 of these monsters. Don't they know that bowls exist for the beans and rice? Service was good and attentive to our needs. We sat by the takeout where I observed many patrons getting angry about the takeout times. Actually witnessed one of the takeout runners spill a drink and then not clean it up or replace the drink with fresh. While we were there we also witnessed staff knocking items over drinks and dropping dishes. Very weird experience tonight.
I had a wonderful experience at On the Border in Princeton tonight! Our server, Laurel, was delightful! In this environment of not enough help it would be so easy to be depressed and dragging but her attitude was upbeat and friendly. Her attention to detail was amazing! She brought extra ice for the ice tea which wasn't requested, she checked back to make sure everything came out as ordered, made recommendations on new menu items. Overall, she made the experience wonderful. After speaking to Nick, the manager, he said the were focusing on training and other improvements. Indeed, everything was humming.
Terrible service...took forever to get salsa drinks and food...not even busy. Server Henry could have informed more on delays. Got 3 combo asked for soft taco got a hard one. The cheese enchilada had to be sawed trough, over done or not cooked enough. Can't tell. Tip was 6 on the $ 43 bill...I was generous with 15%. Never will darken their door again. Go back to New Brunswick.

Have been going to this location for a long time. But yesterdays experience was out of the world. They cautiously said upto 30 mins wait but got seated in 15 mins. Food and Drinks were pretty good. Fresh, Hot, Tasty. One tip about chicken dishes, if you are not a big fan of shredded chicken, ask them to replace it with diced chicken. They would happily do that for you. I would recommend anyone looking for decent Mexican food to eat here. Friendly staff, awesome ambience, great food. Loved it.
We brought the family pack whose price almost doubled this year. The chicken taste was dry and it contains more onions than chicken. I don't recommend buying the family pack. We use to fan of this dish, but the quality and the price both went opposite.
Very slow seating we sat at the bar. The bartenders were great. Friendly fast knowledge about drinks an items on the menu. Good place for causal dining Saturday night date night.
Enjoyed our visit. Food was very good. Great margarita and cold beer. Our server was extremely nice and the hostess was very congenial. The wait was not as long as predicted… all in all a great dinner!
