Holy moly. I just ate the best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had. That was sublime, incarnate.
The new store hours means they close at 10 pm instead of 11pm. There is no change of this time on Google maps. The line was long, because one employee was serving everyone and at the cash register while the other employees were sitting iddle. The ice cream was warm and starting to melt, and they barely have a full scoop. Their experience Definitely degraded, as I gave them a 5 stars before.
If there are long lines WAIT IT OUT!!!!this place honestly has THE BEST ICE CREAM!!! It’s such a nice cute little spot! My family & I have been going here for a couple years Princeton is right in back yard basically 10 min drive & wow I honestly love all the flavors they have! Especially the coffee! It’s truly quite remarkable! You know what I love about this place is that their Icecream is not too sweet! It’s like the perfect amount! & they have such a vast variety of endless flavors it’s amazing!Every time I’ve been here the staff members are always so nice despite the chaos & I appreciate that!! Cant wait to go grab some more when I go back to NJ!
This was my 3rd time at this place. Each time I had worst experience so I finally decided to write review. Quality of ice cream progressively gotten worst and service even unmeasurable. Staff is not trained and their attitude towards service is insulting to American value. I was embarrassed to bring my gust there. I would prefer Shop Right ice cream over this place. Far more superior in quality. Manager did not even had gust to come out to talk to me. I wish I can give 1/2 star but since I can’t, they get bonus to full star.
There was a young African American female worker there yesterday who was extremely rude to me, my girlfriend, and to the other customers. She had an attitude from the moment she asked what ice cream I wanted. It appeared as tho she didn’t want to work there, and if it that's the case she really shouldn’t. She really killed the mood for everyone and made our experience at Halo pub horrible. Ice cream was fantastic tho.
I love ice cream. No, I mean I really love ice cream. And every time I’m in Princeton (unless it’s during Lent!), I stop at Halo Pub. I’m pretty sure it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had, and I’ve had ice cream all over the country. I grew up near Penn State where they offer a course in ice cream making and make some delicious ice cream at their on-campus creamery, but Halo Pub is better. Now, I admit my judgment could be skewed a little because they carry my 3 favorite flavors: Pistachio, Rum Raisin and Pralines & Cream; and they do those better than I’ve ever had any where. So treat yourself to some of this delectable stuff right now!
Ice cream tastes very good. There is a huge crowd and they have many options and they offer samples.
We were there on a cold winter day. The Mango ice cream here is probably the Best we have ever had . Rich, Flavorful and Creamy. The ambience has a rustic charm to it. Highly recommended if you are in this area.
Great ice cream. The girl who works behind the counter definitely looked like she didn't want to be there and was skimping on the scoops. Thankfully, the young man who was there helped us. His service and attitude were greatly appreciated.
Halo Pub, and Halo Ice Cream in general, is the best ice cream I have ever had. I have enjoyed many a scoop from other ice cream shops in town, such as Bent Spoon, and Thomas Sweet, but this is by far the best. The quality of the ice cream is outstanding, each flavor so uniquely rich, and sweet. Yet, the best part of all, is that it is very cheap compared to local shops. Three scoops costs you just about as much as one at the Bent Spoon. Amazing quality, and great price. 10/10 Would recommend. Best in Princeton area for sure.
