Love the pizza here, absolutely fantastic. We drove from Bergen County to get there as our final stop yesterday. Sat right down, ordered a drink, they waited forever for two pies and forever for a second round. The service was atrocious, not bad enough to ruin the pizza which again was fabulous. A table next to me turned over after we were there for 15 minutes or so. The next group that sat got their pies in fifteen minuets and were gone before we even saw a pie. absolutely terrible. The waitress was clueless, I never complain, since I worked in the bar restaurant industry for years, but this was ridiculous. I will return because every place has a bad night, service is the key and when that is lacking people go elsewhere. I don't even care of the pizza took a long time but at least the server should make her rounds to refresh drinks and be on top of things. clueless
Cream of the crop Central and North Jersey style bar pie. Was slightly pricy IMHO, but definitely holds it own. Has the typical elements of northeastern USA Pizza, but also had enough elements of an NJ bar pizza. Need to try more on the menu & Definitely would go again!
Best. Pizza. Ever. I'm serious. And I've eaten a lot of pizza; I grew up in an apartment above a pizzeria (which is 2nd to Conte's). If thin crust pizza is your thing, you have to try this place. They don't have much besides pizza but even if they did, I wouldn't eat anything else. They also have gluten free options! They have gluten free pizza and pasta and BEER! I have not tried their gluten free anything yet, besides the beer. I just love this pizza so much that I suffer the gluten bloat that plagues my life for it. The atmosphere is lovely - a casual, 70s design inside and you'd never know you were in the yuppie town of Princeton. I am so happy to have been introduced to this place. It's one of my favorite places to go. GO!!!!
Drove 1.5 hours for a bar style pizza that supposedly would have a crunch that would shatter my eardrums. Instead I arrived and was served a completely undercooked and raw pizza.Should I have said something and sent it back? Probably, but when I go to place I trust the people in the kitchen. The mark of greatness is consistency. As I waited over and hour, I saw a mix a beautifully cooked pies and severely undercooked pies. Unfortunately I got the ladder.Really unacceptable. I would say I’ll give it a try next time, but given the distance, I’m afraid the next time will only be just an imagination.
If you are around this neighborhood and you LOVE Pizza ? … then you should definitely stop by and get a pie. My husband is a pizza lover, and he said it was delicious.
Great crust, crisp. Great flavor. In my personal Top 20 in US.
The posted hours were until 10 pm, but when I arrived at 9:00 they acted as though it was a huge imposition for me to order a pizza since the kitchen was closing. I do not plan to repeat the experience.
Busy Sunday night, wait line to get in. I was ignored by the wait list staff taking down name of people before and after me, and I had to chase down to get my name taken. Customers have a nasty attitude as well. One loudly interjected for me and my friend to move up in the line without courtesy. Accidentally walked in front of the kitchen door in the line and the bartender yelled at us before we could reason. Same bartender ignored my friends request for drinks while serving others waiting for their table. Commotion city.I was beginning to feel like "my kind" wasn't welcomed in this restaurant. Another non looking Asian dude stands around the kitchen door and same bartender didn't give him the anger treatment, and rather had a pleasant nod and exchange. Staff also ends up yelling at a seemingly new bus boy that is in training. Not a stress free experience. Your call, there are a lot of pizza places that offer a similar bar pie.
Hung out and had a few beers at the bar while waiting for 8 large pies. Great service. The place was packed and there was not an unhappy face in the crowd. El pesidente is correct. Top notch pizza.
Went out just a bit out of our way because this was recommended on Barstool Sports (LOL) Pizza was worth the trip! Super thin crust crispy/burnt edges, delicious sauce, excellent! Drinks were $6 draft, $12 wine, $11-14 mixed, carafe of wine at $26 is a good value. We were not thrilled with the meatballs, lacking in flavor and too firm. Staff was very pleasant. Friday night at 5pm was really busy, expect a wait! Decor is old school, think 1960s VFW. I'm looking at other reviews here and there are some really disappointed people, pizza is subjective but I give it a 8/10 overall.
