Great tea menu. We had tea for four people at a previous visit. The staff was attentive but allowed us to leisurely enjoy ourselves. We've had a few different whole cakes. Most recently we has the Flourless Chocolate Raspberry. It was fabulous, smooth, rich, just the right sweetness and a perfect raspberry flavor. Dine in or take out, everything on the menu is worth a try.

We went for the desserts but also order some sandwiches for lunch. My picky eater son devoured his cheese grill croissant. Daughter got a salad she said was really good . Turkey, bacon Brie and avocado sandwich was good and ham and Gruyère was really good too. After that we each choose a dessert and they are unique but the Mara des Bois cake was the best .The place is crowded! And certainly delicious!

We stayed at the abysmal Nassau Inn for three nights last week, where they aren’t doing breakfast these days. Luckily, we found Chez Alice right nearby on Palmer Square. Each morning, we got coffee drinks and lovely croissants, which we ate at a table out front in the morning sunshine. Our friends had egg sandwiches, and said they were great. It’s a lovely bakery. We’ll be back when we’re next in town.

A cousin got the black and white cake when they came home. The cake was so fresh, so moist and so yummy that I couldn't stop eating it. Am looking forward to try more of their cakes..High Quality product.

Great coffee and food. Folks are very kind and the place is beautifully designed. The deserts are so amazing it’s just really surprised me to find such an amazing place in Princeton. Feels like Paris! Thanks!

This is a really cute little tea/pastry shop. There are macaroons, different types of pastries and teas here. One of the limits though is that only drawing tea time, which by reservation only can you get some of the teas. So all they have the regular store-bought teas at all times, If you want to select their home teas, you must reserve a spot.We got a few of the different flavors of macaroons. It was late in the evening when we purchased them and you could tell that they had gone stale. Therefore I would not recommend buying the macaroons unless it's early in the morning. We also bought the almond pastry and that was quite delicious. If you have a young daughter that's into imaginary teatime, I would definitely recommend bringing her here, as this would be a fun experience for her.#Teatime #macaroons #Princeton

Simply delicious pastries and desserts, not a bit less delicious than any celebrated patisserie in Lyon or Paris

I was stunned by how bad the service was. I have two problems: the staff is very rude and the food is way overpriced. This place has no regard for treating people with respect and will not hesitate to slight you in front of other customers. As soon as I ordered, I was told that I had to vacate my table quickly for other guests. What kind of place does that? This is shockingly bad for a location that advertises its decor and atmosphere. The attitude of the staff is terrible. I’m pretty sure they squished my cake on purpose. Not to mention how overpriced the food is! This place charges at least 30% higher prices than I would expect for mediocre cakes and small deserts.Support other bakeries in Princeton. This place is a fast food restaurant pretending to be a French bakery. It isn’t worth your time, nor your dime!

I went to Chez Alice with my friends because the cafe looked nice from outside. Unfortunately the outside is much nicer than the inside and I am not talking about the decoration which is ok. First of all the service was below expectation. It seems like they only care about people ordering a lot. We ordered some cakes to share and coffee to drink but they were really not interested to serve us, probably because we only spent around 40 USD. The cakes by the way were not even tasty, they looked quite nice but the taste was like they served 5-6 days old cakes, really disappointing. One of the waiters were also very rude to some of the other guest (almost out of control) which made our experience even worse. We will never come back and I cannot recommend this place to anyone! The outside looks nice but it does not match their ignorant staff and their old pastries!

The star is only for the delicious food and the ambiance. The staff is awful (may be not all of them, but definitely the the one who took our order and served us). They seemed uninterested to take the order (which is 100% okay as we all have those days). Then they got us the wrong order , something with fish. I kept saying it is not what I ordered, mine has mushrooms as I am vegan. They came back 3 times saying that no this is your order. I even showed the receipt that had my sandwich name on it. Only then they went back to change the sandwich and brought out a cold one. They were very rude this whole time. When we went back to the counter to order some macaroons to go, unfortunately we landed with the same person. Other servers seemed good people. The one we had were rude and squished the macaroons before packing. Never going here again. I don't know if it was color of my skin, my accent or what ticked them. I didn't even reciprocate their rudeness. It was just frustrating to get my day ruined. Don't need this kind of negativity in my life.
