My girl friend arrived five minutes after I had checked in, giving my name for a table for twoShe walked in a chose a table, the head waiter contested, but my friend saw that the restuarant was not full and chose a booth. For her behavior a African Waitress delivered what I ordered, but to my dismay, the pancakes were dark brown and flat. They tasted weird and I couldn't eat them. The young Latino waiter charged my girlfriend for the pancakes. When I looked around the IHOP other customers had light fluffy yellow ? colored pancakes. Later that night I did not feel well. Could your staff had tampered with the batter in retaliation for my girlfriend's behavior? The waiter, stated when asked why had he charged my friend, his response was he needed the authority from a manager. It's criminal to tamper with a customers food, had it not been for my friend I would have resolve the issue right there at the time. Here I am two weeks later and I'm having reoccurring thoughts about the service I received.Sad and haunted in Piscataway NJ
Went to this location on Sunday June 26 2022. As expected there was a wait, which was fine. They text or call when a table is available which is very convenient. Our waitress was obviously in the weeds and that’s understandable since it was a busy Sunday morning. The food was horrible. Waited 15 minutes for a strawberry milkshake. Pancakes were flat and over cooked, eggs and hash browns were cold, and my daughter’s sandwich came out burnt and missing the jalapeños. I told our waitress and she obviously didn’t even know the menu because she was unaware jalapeños came on the sandwich. She asked if I wanted the food remade. I said yes however she only had the eggs remade. Waited another 10 minutes for jalapeños while she attended to other tables. Finally I just asked if she could inform a manager about the food. I honestly didn’t want to because I am a waitress myself. A manager came to the table with an attitude, never apologized or asked how she could make things right. She walked away and yelled for the waitress. 5 minutes later the waitress dropped off the check with a measly 20% discount even after she saw We barely ate any of our food. What a shame because I have been dining at this location for years. Will not be going back or do I recommend this IHOP. Terrible experience and horrible management
Classic 24 hours American breakfast chain restaurants. If you first time be here, you gotta try their pancakes and sausages?
Had to wait for sitting, not long. Waiter came quickly for my order. Recieved order in a timely manner. Food portion was satisfactory. They don't have cranberry juice. Why?
They need a manager present on the weekend , what I experience on 5/14/2022 was unacceptable , I went in for a quick dine .. I was seated and not attended to for about 10 mins or possibly more. On top of that the staff is full of children who don’t care about their jobs .. they sit on they phones and text you have a couple that apparently work together because instead of assisting customers they were sharing a long extended hug .. to be honest this is not how an establishment should conduct themselves and these teens your hiring is going to cost you business. horrible experience please train your staff especially the younger ones
My server on my last visit was great however getting a good server is a dice roll. The quality of service has gone down at this location. I have been a customer for over 20 years. Smaller portions of food for more money, at times employees act like they don't really want to be there, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is another dice roll. I love IHOP pancakes so I take my chances and pray over my food.
We got the chocolate chip and chocolate base pancakes with chocolate syrup. But I have one question: where is my chocolate syrup??? There wasn't as much chocolate chips as I expected and the chocolate base was okay at best.Also why the hell was I given 7 packs of regular syrup and butter? Do you expect me to use 1 pack of each PER pancake? Is this how you give your customer the diabetes because it's working. I can feel it in my veins.I give this a rating of 2 diabetics out of 5 ?
It was a very terrible experience and I am not sure if my race has anything to do with the service I have received.I understand it was crowded, and I only saw one server attending to everyone, so it took longer than usual. And when I enquired the staff person, she yelled saying a server will come when they are free. What happened to the courtesy or professionalism one would expect. Maybe they are trying to say it is home for pancakes but not hospitality??After 20 minutes, the server practically slid the plate on the table, making the toppings fall off the plate (Ihop can check CC footage). And he did not even bother to address or apologize but I did not want to lose my patience or energy over this and tried to enjoy my food which was not bad. Yet I tried to be as reasonable as possible and left a good tip since it was 3.30 am (4/13/22) or so and is too hard to serve everyone with limited staff.I get the late part but my only issue is why the server went first to the group that came 15mins later than I to take their order.I wish someone would get back to me on how could such a disrespectful and unprofessional service has happened. The whole experience felt like they were doing me a favor for something that I did not pay for.Thank you for a terrible night! Hillsborough IHop is far better and they have a very welcoming attitude. Maybe you should also list "Horrible Hours" on the Menu so people can avoid such hours. The staff guy with the black uniform and cap seems helpful but the rest needs some training or good hours.
Pan cake is the highlight of the place. The food was delicious and was served appropriately. The menu has a good breakfast spread.
Our server was very polite and after he introduced himself, immediately took our drink order. He returned with our drinks and took our dinner selections. The food was perfect and delivered in an extremely timely fashion! It was a great Friday evening dinner experience and kudos to our server!!!
