Very good vegetarian restaurant in NJ. I went there few times. They serve buffet lunch all 7 days now and buffet dinners on weekends. Week days buffet prices are reasonable and should be tried. They serve dosa as well on the buffet. Generally buffet menu consists of samosas, manchurian, dosa, paneer dishes, daal fry, pulav, mix vegetables, Salad, lot varieties of dessert, mango lassi etc. they also serve Thali which is also very nice ?
Last night I had dinner buffet at Chand Palace for the first time. It felt like I was having dinner at a wedding. The variety was unbelievable. Being Saturday evening, it was $24 per person + tax and gratuity, but it was well worth it. Recently I had paid almost the same amount at another Indian restaurant for just two dishes and Coke. So just from the variety standpoint, it is worth the price. Moreover, almost everything tasted extremely good. The taste of everything reminded me of the restaurants in Mumbai. The taste was authentic and not modified to suit locals.Additionally, being a vegetarian myself, I felt a lot more comfortable eating here than at other Indian buffets where they serve both veg and non-veg.Overall, the service was great, food was great and As far as price goes, I have paid a lot more elsewhere for a lot less. So, I am sure, I will go back to Chand Palace again.
Pure vegetarianism is a plus for only vegetarians. When I visited last year 3-4 times, the food taste was better than now, and they have raised the price, last year they were charging $24 including tax & service charge for one person, and now they charge $26 including everything for one person. It was too crowded, and I noticed many people were going back because they didn't have a place to sit for them. It's good, but I would say slightly expansive per person.
Had the worst experience of my life here. Our group went there for celebration. Just about 30-40 minutes after sitting and completing appetizers during buffet, they started asking us to leave in middle as they had another group coming in for food. This was so upsetting that we had to leave in middle with having lunch. Don’t go there unless you are prepared to leave on their command. What a rubbish behavior and what a set of greedy people these guys have become.
V rude manager who disturbed us in the middle of the lunch buffet and made us leave as he couldnt handle traffic coming in. Food was not good as well. First time i have seen this in my life where people who are eating are asked to leave as it is more than 45 mins. He wanted to maximize the profit on the lousy buffett he serves by rotating people. Will not go there again. Not recommend anyone. If he had told us that he doesnt have space we would have gone somewhere else. Spoiled our mood on a sat when guests have come from out of town. If you feel like getting humiliated while eating please go to chand palace in Piscataway. I forgot to mention it is damn expensive.
no good service for the value and every year they increasing prices crazily and service and food quality reducing. And they have too much ego
Food is very tasty. lots of variety in food. Very clean nd well organised. Totally Worth paying. I highly recommend this
It’s a decent place. All veg. I am a non veg. I get bored of the same food options each time I go to Chand palace. No variety. This time I went after a year and still same menu. :) service is not to talk about cause it’s mostly a buffet service. Owners are nice.
This restaurant has the best chole I have ever tasted. I get their chole at least once a week. It's certainly a bit more expensive thannother Indin restaurants in the area, but well worth it. Their sambar is also delicious, along with their dosa and vada.
What a range of food they have. Everything from indo Chinese to great sweet dish. 4 types of sweets. Lots of salad, chutney, pickle. Definitely a great place to have buffet.
