Was not good. Took 45 minutes to get 1 appetizer. Entrees took longer. No bread, no salad. Maybe those are extra. Lobster tails were over cooked and dry. No butter with them. Asked for 1 soda, never got it. $215.00 dollars for 3 people.
Went back after 2yrs because of Covid just to be super disappointed. The owners are Dominican not Portuguese so don’t expect delicious Portuguese food. Not going back ever.
I been a long time fan of this place. It changed owners not too long ago and it’s definitely NOT worth the visit. The menu has completely changed. Although it moonlights as the Portugese manor, in fact, the menu is not. It’s a blend of Portugese and Dominican food. Even the Portugese dishes are cooked a la “dominican” and are not Portugese. They kept the same price structure for significantly lower quality meats and service. See attached pictures. The steak came out cold, yes cold.No more salad with dinners, despite the fact the price for the platers is the same. No more how’s your food? Or checking in with the customers. I came on a Saturday 6pm so it should have been the best service for prime time. There were two other tables seated.I’m short, this is more a Dominican disco type location. It is not a Portugese Resturant.Would NOT recommend and I gave this place a fair shot.
Food is always good here! Ask for the lunch specials - you get so much food for a reasonable price. The rotisserie chicken meals are amazing. The fried rice is also good! Highly recommend.
What can I say! I haven’t been here in 2-3 years and the food is different ! Sangria is good and the food I ate was good but wish it had the old crew and food! If your looking for a Spanish place to eat here is the place to come
This usto be my favorite place for Portuguese food, the garlic chicken that I ordered was just ok .. and my folks ordered mofongo and shrimp and it wasn’t really as good . The quality and service has left us thinking we’ve had better for cheaper.
Food was not what it used to be! Even the Mofongo which was supposed to have pork had barely any, with no garlic so blend. A Valencia Paella which was $30.00 was more rice and chicken then sea food. First time coming back after covid, but definitely won't be going back.
I never write reviews but I need everybody to read this ……. I use to come here all the time , for the Portuguese food .but when I return today it was the worst customer service and food I have ever tried. Took about 2 hour for my food to be served, and once it came you would never guess it , it was the wrong order. once we were done we ask for the check and it took about another 45 minutes , I personally had to go up to them for they to charge us . THIS WOULD BE MY LAST TIME GOING THERE ,I WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE .( this was suppose to be a Portuguese restaurant , now it more like a Dominican restaurant , the music is also loud and we could barely hear eachother )
They have redone and upgraded the dining room but the food quality went way down. The filet mignon was tough and difficult to cut. Garlic chicken had no flavor. Music was way too loud which made talking difficult . First time back after the pandemic. Used to be one of our favorites. Won't be going back :(
This used to be our go-to Portuguese Restaurant. Salient term "used to".. The place is clearly still in the middle of a home-brew renovation. They shouldn't have re-opened until that was completed. Bad paint job where they ripped out arches and other objects on the ceilings and walls. The carpet desperately needs replacement. The new owners changed the menu, and not in a good way. It is no longer like any Portuguese that I ever remember. It is now a confusing mix of some Italian, some Puerto Rican and other odd combinations of cultural mismatches. My pork chop was sub-par, tough and chewy, with some romaine lettuce instead of vegetables on the plate. It didn't taste good and I didn't take home anything that I left over (and that was a lot). The sangria was awful, don't order that. The remaing server was the only server from the old management that we don't care for. Not friendly, no smiles, curt and short. He got the meals out, but no real follow-through either. Needless to say, our hearts are broken and we won't ever be back there. As the saying goes, you can't go back.
