Established in 1957, the Polonia bakery is a family owned and operated traditional Polish bakery. They feature Polish Easter bread, babka, paczki, strudels, layered rum cake and other Polish favorites. Their baked goods are made from scratch with authentic quality ingredients and are delicious. My only criticism is that the paczki could use more filling. While all their products are good, the star of the show is their breads which are fabulous. The rye bread is exceptional and is sold in many stores throughout New Jersey and NYC. Multi-grained bread and other types of breads are available. They are closed Mondays and street parking is hit or miss.
If it only had parking
Parking is tight here. Had to around the corner and found metered parking close by.
It’s a family tradition to go here but it honestly gets worse every year. They put less and less filling in the paczki, the rum cake has gotten drier every year and I don’t think they even put rum in anymore, and the staff is rude.
