Delicious food, peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend the Arroz Chaufa. It's worth a trip to explore new varieties of Peruvian food.
Food is good ?and service, too.2nd visit, all the way from Connecticut.Delicious ?food.
The food and service were outstanding. But prices expensive. Nevertheless, i recommend the Kokona Juice, cecina chaufa and plantain Tacacho.?
Taste like home cooked meal. The owner is pleasant and friendly. Love it!
I couldn’t believe when I saw it about this restaurant selling my typical food from my town in Perú!!! I have been looking for so long a restaurant that will sell my jungle dishes from my town in Perú.If you haven’t tried authentic jungle food you got to try this place, is small place has few seating inside but food is delicious!!! I got Juanes, tacacho mixed with bits of fried pork skin, humitas saladas, arroz chaufa and papa a la huancaina (the last two dishes are typical Peruvian dishes)Also they have aguaje ice creams, cocona drinks and uvachados (exotic drink) delicious!!I’m definitely coming back to eat more of my favorite dishes!!!!
Went here (my wife is peruvian) and it was a nice change of flavor from the tropical Lomo saltado and ceviche you get. The tacacho was dope.
I travel with some friends from NYC to NJ just to try my Peruvian friend food and I wasn’t disappointed, the food was delicious and even though it’s was a long travel we will go back soon.
Don’t let the small space and simple look fool you. La Kokona has amazing food!!!Honestly I did not expect it to be great, but was blown away with how tasty their food was.I definitely will be making this my new Peruvian spot in NJ. I suggest you give it a shot and judge for yourself. To top it off the service feels homie, quiet and prices are very reasonable.
Food was good
Good food but need more space .
