Honestly, my expectation to this place was higher than it should have been. I saw A tiktok about this place and came for my sisters birthday. We have kids so we wanted to eat there for lunch.Was not aware you get a select “brunch” menu with practically just tacos and quesadillasWe were hoping for a plate with rice/beans and steak. its not on the brunch menu.Very small place. The day we went had 4 large groups of tables.It was good, don’t get me wrong just wish we had known that before hand.
Wow wow wow! Hidden gem in Passaic. The restaurant has amazing drinks, food and service.We started off with these jumbo cocktails which was definitely the move! For appetizers we had corn, nachos and quesadillas. For entrees we had fajitas and birria tacos. And last but not least dessert. Everything was excellent and delicious.Definitely stop on by for some drinks and food!
I just came back from this place a few hours ago. VERY DISAPPOINTED. There weren’t many people dining in and there was one waitress. Normally when you go to a restaurant, you would get your water and appetizers soon after…but not here. My friend and I asked for water with lemon and the waitress gave us water infused with lemon juice…40 minutes later (which we were eventually charged $3 for regular glass of water which should be free). Our appetizer didn’t come out until our entrees were ready…1 hour later. That whole time, it felt like the waitress was avoiding eye contact with me and cleaning up tables. I ordered the birria tacos which were good, but needed a little bit more seasoning on the beef. I wouldn’t even have gotten a box or my check did I hadn’t gone up to the waitress myself. I probably would have been waiting another hour for my check. SMH.
Really enjoyed the food and the drinks and the server was super nice, we will be back with my family, I don't know if they speak English but still a really authentic and lovely place to go!
No parking, my favorite part was the cocktails, the lady who did knows what she’s doing, she bring the cocktail to our table was a good service but the lady who take our our was horrible, the food no tasty .. the place it’s dark. I’ll give another chance.
i really would give this a 0 out of 5 stars if i could genuinely! today 3-1-22 i went to de puebla a veracruz to order birria tacos that i had been wanting for a while now. my mother and i go into place our order, leave for about 5 mins, come back & the brownskin hispanic lady that rung us up told us to sit down which there was no problem with that. after the food was done, she calls us up to pay & i see that on the receipt she added a gratuity charge of $5.77. the bill was $37 and some change but then my mom added the rest to make it to $40. we leave & my mom decided to look at the receipt & realizes the gratuity charge/tip. we never sat down to eat nor did she ever serve us as if she was our waiter NOR did we ever tell her that she could do that. if you look up the definition of “gratuity” it clearly says a tip left by a customer. money isn’t the problem but it is the principal. you should not be doing that to anyone. i do not respect that the lady did that. i wish i would’ve gotten her name but it was some brownskin hispanic lady w an accent that was to your right when you walk in. i hope she doesn’t do this to other people & learns that she earns a tip by service, not because she thinks she deserves one! do better!
TikTok made me do it. I’m going to admit it.So my daughter had been wanting these Birria tacos ? for a long time. We had some in Phoenix Arizona, which we thought would be hard to top. Well today was the day we decided to go and I’m not disappointed. They open at 2:30 and we got there at 3:30. We were the only ones and that was ok with us. My daughter ordered the Tacos De Birria (3) + Consume. I ordered a chicken empanada. The Birria and consume was EXCELLENT. The empanada I would pass on but that’s neither here nor there. The service was great what we had was great price was good. I didn’t order any drinks because there were no prices in the drink menu. That’s a warning for me. The food took longer than I expected, but I guess that because it came out piping hot…. YummmmmyI will definitely be returning, I just hope it’s not during a busy time because 3 employees came in while we was there getting ready for what I assume the rush time.
Ok so yeah TikTok made me try this place. A friend and I went and a couple of things to note…. Parking can be a challenge. Aside from that the wait time for your meal is pretty questionable. I ordered soup which I thought I would get before my entree but was told after waiting a long time that it would come out with everything else. We were given chips and guac on the house because we were waiting so long. The food was ok. The fish soup was really good. I ordered the shrimp with rice and beans and salad with a side of tostone. The shrimp was not what I expected. They were small and dried up. I didn’t get my beans until I had to mention them then they came out not even hot. Yes the drinks we ordered were strong but way over priced. I want to give them another chance and I’m hoping these reviews will step it up.
Worst service ever, I went there with my wife and the bartender was always in the phone and on top of that she charge $22 for plain margaritas. Everytime we need her we stroogle to get her attention. And drinks were not even good!
Please don't go there! Worst place ever. Everything is bad. They offered a margarita called LA PATRONA , served in a Patron tequila bottle but is made with another cheap tequila. And they said on the menu MADE WITH PATRON TEQUILA. Pease don't go . What a terrible experience. ?
