they charge you tips in the bill. not only is this illegal but they don't tell you they are doing this. I will be filing a complaint with the bbb.the food is incredible. 10/10
I had called to Oder some food and I just asked what was the special of the day. The lady who picked up the phone was so rude. She proceeded to talk with an attitude and ask me to hurry up with my Oder. Really bad customer service.
To take pictures of the plates of food is not even worth it. The 1st star i give to the waiter, his service and understanding of our issues was on point. We ordered ½ chicken salad, and yuca. That is the 2nd reason for a star, it was delicious and the yuca was soft the plating on salad was not impressive. The anticuchos are grilled as should be, we ordered med-rare, but lacked that umph of typical peruvian anticuchos. The accompanying salsas aji verde & aji Amarillo were good and the aji Amarillo was perfect! Like it should be, for the anticuchos. The plate of choncholi was very disappointing because we just came from vacation home in Perú and the plate was like a mess, the seasoning was tasty but the choncholi was so chewy and tough, the knife couldn't even cut it. It had to be taken back. It was as if it were double cooked or the frying oil wasn't hot enough...don't understand what happened there but not ordering that again. ? stick with the chicken, can't go wrong there...sad to say I won't be eating there again, unfortunately a hit and miss.
Most Authentic Peruvian Comida I have had the pleasure of enjoying ?. I waz raised in Passaic/Clifton borderline area thru the 70's , 80's & 90's ...El Chevere and all the downtown bring me back home again ...!!! ???

Food is good , however the service is horrible! Waited 15 minutes for our server , had to flag him down to get him to even come to our table …. You know it’s bad when a 7 & 8 year old children say “Wow, their customer service is bad!”
The food was ok but the service was just terrible. Everything was so disorganized. I'm not even sure who our server was because so many people came back and forth to our table and still more than half our order was forgotten. We were placed on a waiting list and asked to place our order while we waited. Once we were seated half our order came out. We asked about the rest and were told it was coming. 20 minutes went by and we asked again. This time they had no idea what we were talking about. With so many Peruvian options nearby save yourself the headache of this place and go elsewhere.
Been to Peru a few times, the food really looks like some of the poor restaurants there lol so I guess it's 100% authentic ? no beans, no chaufa, no Lomo, I'm pretty easy going and don't like to complain so I asked for a fried egg to eat with the white rice... (Epic drumroll....) they didn't even have an egg to fry in the back ???????????
I called 30 minutes prior to arriving and I still had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my food. When I asked the lady she caught an attitude because she told me 10 minutes. She has an attitude because I asked a question. I wasn't nasty with her.
