Went to Empire with a friend early on a Wed. afternoon. Place was slow but steady with patrons, staff was accommodating. Food was awesome!! Cooked perfectly, and not heavy or greasy. I had scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage, and they cooked it to my liking, and my friend had a California Burger, and it was beautiful!Ladies restroom was decently clean - needed a little picking up, but that wasn't a problem. I had ordered a diet Coke, and they gave me a can of diet Coke with a glass of ice. I thought that was very cool!Would definitely return.
THE EMPIRE catered for our Daughters first Holy Communion this past weekend!! The entire process was so easy with them, They co-operated with us every step of the way!! The food was excellent!! Our guests enjoyed every dish on the menu, especially the Brisket!! Thanks Milena for helping us out!!!
Used to go there all the time. Hadn't been there in a while so we decided to go for a family dinner. EXTREMELY disappointed. Bill was $63 for 3 people. Food was not worth that price at all. Got a burger and fries ($13), chicken quesadillas ($13), pancakes and bacon ($17.50) and waffle fries ($8). The waiter was horrible. My family and I will NEVER go there to eat again. The best part of the entire dinner was the little old man who was behind the counter taking payments. STAY AWAY FROM THERE UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT MONEY. ROBBERY WITHOUT A GUN.
Wonderful chocolate chip pancakes, my husband enjoyed his omelet. Prices are good and service was lovely.
Went there for breakfast and after a funeral. The eggs were cold at breakfast. I had a hamburger after the funeral. Asked for well done but got it with the center raw and the blood running out of it. Had to send it back twice but finally got it right. The place was clean and the waitress was polite, friendly and fast.
My wife and I stopped there last night on the way home. She ordered scallops with corn and mashed potatoes. The scallops came out not cooked and the corn was very gray and old looking we asked them to cook the scallops more and they did but my wife still couldn't eat them. I on the other hand ordered a cheeseburger and they asked how I would like it I asked for medium they gave me well done it came with bacon and onion rings after three bites I couldn't eat it no more and I stopped. We went home later that night or actually early the next morning I was so sick it was horrible
Just left the diner about one hour ago. Ordered Scrambled eggs, home fries, taylor ham and rye toast, along with an Iced Coffee. When I tell you the Iced coffee was the best item I ordered, that is the God Honest Truth. The eggs were undercooked, the taylor ham seemed VERY VERY old, (tasted that way as well). The home fries looked like they were cooked some time last week and they just keep reheating them. This is a far cry from the Empire Diner I grew up in. I would rate them a negative if I could. Save your money, or go somewhere else.
What a great diner. Love going here. Food always tastes wonderful. I ordered a chicken sandwich called Italian Stack that comes prosciutto, portobello mushrooms, roasted peppers and mozzarella. I highly recommend it. The staff and atmosphere was great. Can't wait to visit again
Family restaurant, homemade food, with good portions and everything very tasty; a highly recommended place to stop and enjoy the meal in good company.
This place was legit! Such a cool place. Food was amazing. For my first NJ dinner experience, it was definitely an A+!!!
