Food quality is very poor here. We used to come often for dim sum but the dishes got smaller and more expensive, and then the food itself often came out cold or obviously stale. We occasionally come back hoping that things improved, but nope -- last night's dinner was disgusting. Sweet and sour pork had no pork in it; just fried batter soaked in sauce; some pieces had a glob of fat inside the batter but not a single piece of meat. The fish casserole dish was all MSG to cover up the awful qualify of frozen mushy fish. We're a Cantonese family and we'd rather get "fake" Chinese takeout than eat here.
It was my family's first time at the restaurant and the service was excellent. The food and its presentation was top notch. I would visit again in the future.
We ordered Dim Sum to take out on Sunday. Our order was confirmed, and estimated pickup time was indicated as 1:31 PM. We arrived on time, but the restaurant was extremely busy and our order was nowhere to be found. After several questions to the staff, we received our order at 2:26 PM. If only their "estimated" pickup time was accurate, we would not have had to wait for 50 minutes to get our order. This was a major disappointment. However, the food was delicious as always after we reheated at home. UNDERSTAFFED AND OVERPROMISING is a terrible combination for a business to satisfy their customers.
The only authentic Cantonese restaurant around Northern Jersey. Fast service and I don't have to go to NYC for my Cantonese/Chinese food fix. Great prices too.
Decent, less crowded than Qin though I think also slightly less tasty, still decent though and this place’s lunch specials are great
It used to be better, even a few months ago. Everything was SO greasy. The egg rolls were dripping with oil, the scallion pancakes were greasy throughout. The pork and dried tofu was good. I don't mind paying a premium for good food. These prices were very high for sub-standard food. I have had food from here many times over many years, even before the name change, but This was the last time.
Dimsum for a large group. Given the large quantity we got (less than half shown in my photo), it was surprisingly inexpensive.I never liked tripe before, but I loved it here with that gingery sauce. Everything was delicious, except the soups (hot and sour too corn starchy consistency, and egg drop lacked flavor). Also ordered non-dimsum items. Amused in a good way by how garlicky the broccoli was.I'd rate 4.5 stars and round up to 5, partly because the current 4.0 rating seems underrated.
If you are an undiscerning eater, and eat randomly, then you would not be disappointed, it will meet your low standard. If you know your food and how it should taste, stay hungry and move away from Noodle Wong.Below average fare. You may get better stuff at a generic Chinese buffet place. I went there around 4 pm local time, they quickly served their choice, not mine, Sui Mai pork and shrimp, forced served pork noodle, and steamed pork buns, and some other stuff that I declined and asked for soup dumplings, they ignored and offered another thing, I was only looking to eat soup dumplings, the reason I went in there. They agreed and said will make it for me.Everything was cold. After I bit into couple of things, I had to ask them to heat it up, did not offer hot chili oil /sauce or anything,, I had to ask for.The tea was hot. Everything was below average, I paid $30.00 and did not get any worth for my dollars.
Sizable Dim Sum restaurant. Good menu with most all of the typical favorites. Slow moving carts, but friendly staff. Food quality is fine. Great for large groups. Pricing is normal.
Such a great little authentic eatery. I got the Singapore noodles and they were delicious. They used roasted pork, ham, and shrimp. The curry was nice and spicy and the noodle cooked perfectly. Yummy crunchy veggies too. Very quick service and almost had the place to myself on a Monday evening. Very friendly staff. Excellent food experience.
