We celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better restaurant to celebrate. From start to finish, the food was spectacular. My wife had the caprese salad, lobster ravioli and bread pudding. I had the mixed green salad, cavatelli and sausage, and crème brûlée. The food was awesome and the staff very attentive. We’ll be back!
Given all the hype I was expecting a bit more. The wait staff was friendly but lacked experience. The appetizer were the best part of the meal. We ordered muscles and cold antipasto which were fine but not at a 5 level. The entries regrettably we're disappointing. The pork chops were dry and the fish was overly breaded. The breading overwhelmed the fish which is just too amateurish. The desert was fine but certainly not baked on premises. Was hoping for a better experience but sadly I'm being generous with 3 stars.
The swordfish was delicious and the best cannoli I ever had. The cream tasted homemade, the cappuccino was very smooth even decaf. I never had a bad meal there.
Been coming here for years and the food is always very good. The owner is very nice and keeps everything consistent. We will never stop coming here.
Excellent staff, clean restaurant and food is delicious. Very pleased with the meals. Although this time was take out. I have done dine in too. Very happy. Also owner does so much with donations to community. Its great to support small businesses that are involved with the community too.
My wife and I along with 3 other couples had dinner Saturday night at Gourmet Cafe Italian Restaurant. Matt was a wonderful host and both food and service were excellent. We had multiple people taking care of our table and they worked together like a well oiled machine. We were never wanting for anything except maybe more space in our stomachs for the all the great tasting food. The Spiedini, Meatballs and Risotto croquettes were wonderful appetizers. My favorite entree is the cavatelli and sausage. The parm crusted chicken was popular along with a mouthwatering Swordfish special and if you have room for dessert the Butterscotch Bread pudding melts in your mouth. If you want to have a great meal with great service make a reservation soon.

Always delicious! Pasta dishes never disappoint and the sole francaise and shrimp parm are the best!
My husband ordered chicken parm and an antipasto salad for dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing. Thank you Matt for a very enjoyable meal.
