Used to be my favorite Spanish restaurant in North Jersey. Always had memorable times here. Paella Valenciana was delicious along with the pork chops and Chilean sea bass. Have heard they got new management and place "isn't as good" now. But I will have to check this out in person next time I'm in NJ area
The chef used fried chicken thighs for the chicken ajillo order and no garlic sauce at all. Very sad dish I don't recommend it if you are looking for garlic chicken.

This was one of our favorite Spanish restaurants for over 20 years. Not any more. I’ve even deleted it from my contacts. Can’t even call it Spanish anymore. It’s simply terrible. The food is a cheap imitation of what it used to be; but horrible. Service is nonexistent. The host is clearly clueless. The bar is not attended. The tables and parking lot are empty. Keep driving. Better off going to Taco Bell where the food is much better.
If you're a true lobster lover, you've got to put this on your bucket list. It's the best. Others in my party who had the steak also thought the food was great. The service is excellent, staff is friendly, and Jason, our host and maitre'd was top notch in taking care of my family and just letting us enjoy and celebrate my son's graduation. Jason's training at the Culinary Institute of America definitely shined through with his attentiveness and professionalism. Go for the food but also enjoy warm family atmosphere.
Ah... man... this place is going super downhill... Absolutely disappointed with food AND service. Imagine, the bartender even tried flirting with my wife, which we both found to be hilarious, but at the same time super disrespectful. We weren't there just yesterday; it was a while back. However, we found that the experience wasn't great at all, and thus I'm leaving this review. Who knows... maybe if I hear the management changes I may stop by again. For now, this wasn't a nice experience.Before, Meson Madrid was the spot. Delicious authentic Spanish food. Not anymore. It's like they forgot what food they're supposed to make...
Memories of great food and good times at Meson Madrid shattered by my visit May 7, 2022. Not a single fish dish on the menue. Nothing served of any culinary merit. Pleasant service.
This was our first ever eating here and we're so shocked and amazed by the service, courtesy and FOOD!!! I mean WOW the Seafood Pasta Dradiablo is the best I have ever eaten. It's just amazing food, great drinks and wonderful people.
Well my last visit to this restaurant was about 10 years ago when you had long waits to enter and the place was always packed. It's changed owners from what I gather and the staff is now Asian but the same quality of food was kept. The menu has alot of seafood and steak items all with the spanish flavor. I went with a party of 4 and everyone loved their dishes. Only criticism is the decor is still very old and needs updating, the service was good too..????
I used to order from this place a lot but obviously they changed the management and the food just tastes different. I wish I read the reviews here before I ordered. Just not the same place it used to be. Sad.
