Delicious pajun, pork kalbi, and beef kalbi. Appetizers banchan delicious too. Perfectly cooked and tender meat. Only wish there was kimchi! Will come back!
Went to dinner with two friends only to be ignored by the staff, lied to about the wait time, and harassed over the tip amount on our check. My 2 friends abs I are all Black women. We were told 15 minutes for a table but weren’t seated until almost an hour later. Our waitress did not check in with us and was cold towards us the entire time we were there. While we ate, another woman from the restaurant staff continuously peeped around a divider and stared at us throughout our meal. We were very uncomfortable the entire time and the waitress made a scene after bringing us the bill. There was only a $5 tip added because of subpar service and being stared at by a staff member. The waitress came back to us with the bill and loudly demanded to know why we only put a $5 tip instead of the $15 suggested minimum. Other patrons were now looking at us as she berated us loudly about the tip. We guiltily changed the amount to $10 because it felt as if we weren’t allowed to go until we increased it. This was such an inconsiderate experience and I’ll never return to this restaurant. This is the first time we’ve ever been mistreated in an Asian establishment and are shaken up and disappointed by the way we were treated by the staff.

Our waitress was an older lady and we asked if there was a drink menu and she said that they only have sodas. We were confused because we seen alcohol on the other tables, there was a round around and then she told us that the establishment allowed people to bring their own alcohol. Which she could’ve told us from the instance we asked. Besides cooking our meat, the same waitress was not attentive by any means. And the hostess kept looking back at us with long uncomfortable stares. The service just wasn’t friendly and we felt like we weren’t warmly accepted into the establishment. The biggest issue was when the check came. We paid our tab and we didn’t think our waitress was kind to us, so we gave a smaller tip instead of nothing which she really deserved. She then came back and yelled at us for the amount we gave and asked us why. She made us feel uncomfortable and berated us loudly demanding a higher tip. Everyone in the room looked at us in a poor manner as if we were bad people. We admitted the service wasn’t up to par and she demanded again so we reluctantly were forced to change it. We felt trapped in the situation as someone was hounding us for money. It was incredibly rude and uncalled for. We’ve never experienced something like this. So I say to black people do not go to this establishment, you’ll be treated differently from the Korean patrons. Instead take your money to a place in Flushing or Manhattan Koreatown. This establishment gets a 1 star for the food but that compliments to the chefs only. You can still find better food and service elsewhere. Awful experience that we are still shaken up over.
