Very good, friendly staff. We got two buckets and had lots of food. It's a nice treat and if you factor in 9 people, we would have probably spent more $$
It was our first time trying out the seafood boils, all and all it was a successful experience. The staff were very helpful. The product was fresh, cooking instructions were precise and the seasoning was spot on.One suggestion by our family- please include the proper tools to crack and pick the crab clusters. We are renting and the tools are not in the house. We ordered an expensive package and do not mind paying for delicious seafood- but the tools should have been provided- the only reason for 4/5 stars.
A $200 steamer pot contained rancid oysters, muddy shrimp, and corn speckled with brown kernels. I wanted to love it, but most of it wasn't edible.
Paid $261 for a bucket of raw seafood that needs to be cooked at home, the price is absolutely insane for the amount of food we received even with high market prices at the current time. We were not made aware of having to cook the pot ourselves until picking up our order. We had already paid online otherwise would not have even went through with our order. The staff was not friendly about the situation and found it funny that we didn’t know.Update -My review does not include any false information, the photo attached to my review is of the bucket that was given to me, in your instructions it said to remove any bagged seafood for the first 40-50 minutes of steaming, this photo is accurate to what your instructions say.
What a great dinner! Super easy and delicious. Ordered the low tider and was more than enough for two people. Customer service in the Ocean City location was #1. Shout out to Erin who took my order and walked me through the preparation. Can’t wait to order it again.
Tried this for the first time today and it was an excellent dinner experience. Staff was courteous and very helpful explaining to us as first time customers how to properly cook the food back home. Everyone loved the dinner. First time experience for the grandkids eating off paper spread on the dining room table. Overall, a great time.
The steamer pot was fresh. The staff was really friendly and explained how to prepare the pot of seafood. We followed directions and it was all delicious! We got the pot for 2-3 people and it was perfect amount for 3.We will be back!!
We were looking for some seafood during our week-long stay in Ocean City last summer and decided to give Topsail Steamer a try after seeing all the great reviews. This place did not disappoint! We ordered The Wrightsville High Tider with classic seasoning for a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler. The staff member who helped me during pick-up was friendly and helpful in walking through how to prepare the food. All of the seafood was incredibly fresh and there was plenty of food for our group. We also really enjoyed the Andouille Sausage. Everyone was hunting them down and it was the first thing we finished. At the end of our meal, we only had some potatoes and corn leftover. Our only complaint is that our pot took a bit longer to cook than what the included instructions indicated. We're looking forward to picking up another bucket when we return to Ocean City this summer!Update in response to Topsail Steamer's response: we were using an electric stove and while we can't recall the amount of time it took, we think it might be 30 minutes longer than what the instructions stated.
What a great idea! We were renting a house and this was a perfect option for a fun meal in. Seafood was super fresh. They give you everything you need, directions included. The staff was very friendly and it was ready to pick up quickly. I think cook times may vary slightly but it turned out delicious!
Saw this place while on vacation in Ocean City, NJ and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. What a great meal and a fun experience. Wound up getting their “Low Tider” and added an order of clams.Plenty of food for three people. Comes complete with cooking pot, instructions, butter, cocktail sauce and even paper to cover your eating area.Staff very pleasant and they give you good instructions on how to cook and they include written instructions as well.Allow about an hour to fully cook everything, but worth the wait and experience.
